Garden of Dreams

The challenge theme at Gecko Galz this month is Garden of Dreams

I was the winner at Gecko Galz's May challenge with this card!

I chose to make this small circular shaped card out of ivory pearlescent card.

The challenge stipulates that you need to use at least one image from Gecko Galz Studios. I used the yellow gowned lady from Pop of Colour and gave her some wings from the Butterfly Wings collection.
The background is ivory card, dry embossed using ink applied with a brayer in a technique I found here.  The embossing folder is X-Cut's Damask background and the ink is Memento Nautical Blue. Unfortunately, I lost some of the embossed surface when I ran the card through the die cutting machine, but the printed patten remained. Note to self: next time die cut the shape before embossing!
The ivory flowers were glued around the image with pearl stamen and iridescent glitter was applied to the edges of the petals. Glitter was also applied to the butterfly wings.
Tiny adhesive pearl dots were  randomly placed on the background and a tiny yellow bow finished it off.

ATC: Too Many Cats?

I made this ATC from Vera Lane Studio digital images. This set is called Cats and Crocks. The cardboard box is also a Vera Lane digi - this one is free to Facebook subscribers.

The 9cm by 6.5 cm white card was ink blended, then modelling paste was applied through a Tiny Dots stencil. The images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut and attached onto the background. The cat's eyes have glossy accents applied to make them shine. A hand drawn border and some dots of stickles iridescent glue added the finishing touches.

ATC: Circus Acts

The theme for week #209 at Wicked Wednesday is Circus Acts.

Here is my make:

I used TH distress inks for the background, overstamped with a Dylusions diamond pattern in Vintage Photo.  I had no circus themed stamps or digis in my stash, so I found some free colouring page images on the internet, printed them on to white card and coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. They were then fussy cut and attached to the ATC, some directly with glue, others with foam pads.

CAS: Patterned Paper

This week #274 at Less Is More is Lucky Dip Week and the challenge is to use designer paper in a CAS style.

I hope what I made qualifies.

I started with embossed white card and added a die cut, black stitched frame on foam pads. I used a Tattered Lace Flower die to cut three lacy flowers from patterned Deco Time paper. A silver, shimmer glitter dome was added to the centre of each flower and the flowers were glued on to the card.

The sentiment was die cut from black card and a second from white card. These were glued together to give a shadow effect and attached to the bottom right of the card.

Serenity Resting

Digi Choosday's week 17 challenge is 'Things with Wings'.

I won a feather in my cap with this one!

This is the card I made.

The image is a digi stamp from Polkadoodles and is called Serenity Resting. Isn't she beautiful?  Every Tuesday there is a coupon for big savings on the Digi Choosday blog - it's well worth a visit!

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added some white accent lines with a Sakura gel pen. Dots of glitter were applied to the wings and the head-dress flowers. The white toadstool spots were glittered too.

The glittered red polka dot paper is from Deco Time. I die cut an aperture with a Spellbinders Labels 20 die and attached Serenity behind this. A red organza ribbon was secured at the back of the polka dot paper and a bow attached with a glue dot.

All was mounted on foam pads onto the brown polka dot paper from Trim Craft's Wildflower collection. Pink pearl flat backs were added on opposite corners.

A white die cut flower with pink crystal gem was added and a glitter sentiment finished it off.

Birdhouse

This card was chosen in the Top 3 at Digi Chooseday and it won me another feather in my cap!

Over at Digi Choosday, the Week 16 challenge is 'Tic Tac Toe'.
Three or more items from this grid must be used:

I made this card and used a charm, a tag with a sentiment, lace and flowers.

The images are from Polkadoodles. The birdhouse is Beautiful Birdhouse 4 and the fence is a free digi from the Tatty Twinkle Easter bundle. They were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.  They were attached with foam pads to a piece of white card which had been dry embossed with an Xcut Quilt folder. This was matted on to green card and attached with foam pads to the design paper from a pad called Spring in Bloom by Trim Craft.

White cotton lace was adhered along the bottom edge of the card. Sparkly sticker strips were added to the spine edge of the card.

A glitter tag and sentiment was placed to the right of the birdhouse and a pink ribbon bow attached. A silver dragonfly charm was placed on a glue dot alongside the tag and card candy craft dots added to the top left corner.

ATC: Put a Bow on It

Hello. Happy May!

Week 207 at Wicked Wednesday has the theme 'Put a Bow On It".

I made this ATC:

I used my new Aurora Wings digi stamp Cat in Spring Flowers - one of my prizes from a recent win at Wicked Wednesday! The stamp was printed onto white card and coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. It was attached to a black ATC card.
I made a tiny pink ribbon bow from a snippet of ribbon and added it to the cat's neck.  My intension was to put a tiny bell there as well, but try as I might, I couldn't find the bells anywhere.

Here is my lovely cat, Casey, having a lazy day reading the Sunday magazines. (Yes, Parsnip...I know it's Monday, but it takes him all Sunday just to read the paper!)
