Here is what I made as inspiration for the Customer Challenge..

I used an image from the fabulous 'Wish Upon a Star' collage set. I matted it onto gold card and onto some co-ordinated patterned paper. I heat embossed in gold some of the outlines on the paper and matted onto gold card again. A gold band was added along with a sentiment and some gens.

Again I used an image from 'Wish Upon a Star'

The edges of the image were heat embossed in gold. I added irridescent glitter glue to the girl. The background paper is from the Wonderful Watercolour ATC Collection and I stamped and heat embossed in gold. The card was backed onto holographic paper and some die cut florals were added to the image.

Here is a card made with another image from the 'Wish Upon a Star collage set. One of the Wonderful Watercolour ATC Collection was used for the background, It was stamped and heat embossed in gold.

It's my DT day today, so here is what I made:

A set of fun tags made from a die cut rectangle of kraft card.
I inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink and added Oriental backgrounds (digitally enlarged) from the Ancient Splendour Domino collage sheet. I distressed the edges of the background images and chose some fun images from the Far East Fun Digital Kit and fussy cut them. Some ivory lace and some natural trim were added along with a shop bought flower from Little Birdie Crafts. I used a crop-a-dile to make a hole and add an eyelet then threaded twine through.

I made a couple of cards:

These just use paper from the Asian Botanicals paper pack - no embellishments at all - and they are, I think, beautiful. I simply matted the paper onto red and then black card and popped them onto a white card base.
Then, I decided to add a couple of fussy cut images, one freom the Ancient Splendour Domino collage sheet and one from the Far East Fun Digital Kit:

I also made a couple of cards using the stunning Asian Doll images using traditional Japanese hand made Yuzen paper.

I used black card to mat the images and the paper and it really makes the colours pop. I added glossy butterflies and a black and gold sentiment.

Here is what I made for inspiration on the Winter Elegance theme.
First is my December tag. It's a shaker tag.

I played around with making a simple shaker as usually I get glue everywhere and none of the shaker pieces actually shake :) This was made with a self seal cellophane bag. I had to fold it carefully and seal it at the back, but it works fine and the sequins do move!
The background paper is from the Christmas Traditions ATC set. The image is from the Holly and Ivy collage set. I added some red glitter tape along the bottom and placed some gold trim on top. The pocket has a red foil, die cut frame and some tiny die cut pine leaves and a small flower at the top. Red velvet ribbon was threaded through the tag and a small knot bow was added to the top of the shaker frame.

Next, I have a couple of winter nature cards:

The beautiful images are from Nature's Winter and The Frosty Garden, two of my favourite winter collage sets.
The background paper is from the Christmas Traditions ATC images which I enlarged.

I made a hanging tree decoration using a die cut circle of card as the base:

I die cut some old book pages using a doily die and used Vintage Photo ink to age it a little more. I added some music manuscript and some die cut snowflakes made from green glitter card. Some gold trim was placed below the lovely fussy cut image which from the Christmas Icons collage set - I popped this on foam tape for dimension. I also added some gold foliage and a tiny red flower. Red velvet trim will allow this to be hung from the tree.

I made a pair of Christmas greeting cards in non-traditional colours:

My cards use images from the beautiful Winter Magic collage set. I teamed them with linen card and added heat embossing using white glitter powders around the edges. Some 3D die cut snowflakes are tucked beneath the image mat on the blue card, and snowflake and flower die cuts with gems add a little sparkle. along with the sentiment, die cut from white glitter card.

Crafts Galore Encore: Joy at Christmas

Hello
Happy December :)

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th December.

This month's challenge is kindly sponsored by Gecko Galz.

I used the an image from the Christmas Icons collage set and used papers from the Christmas in Nature ATC set:

I made two background layers and matted them on gold card. I also die cut some white glitter card to act as a snowbank.for the main image. The tree is also die cut twice, once in green card and once in white glitter card - I popped this below the green die cut and it represents snow on the tree branches. Next I fussy cut the image and popped it on foam pads for dimension. Glitter was dotted around and some die cut foliage and a poinsettia flower were made into a cluster along with the stamped sentiment on a tiny tag.

That's all for now.

Many thanks to Leanne at Gecko Galz for her generous prize of a $25 voucher for her Etsy Store for our random winner.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs and to enter our challenge.

We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card and you can enter up to 3 times.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
