I made a pair of note cards

I adore the images on the Sirens collage set and chose two as toppers for my cards.
I paired the images with digital paper from the Neverland ATC set and the Playing with Marbles ATC set

My trusty gold card came out for matting and layering.

And I made some die cut foliage from inked card, as well as some coral. Some gold mesh trim was tucked within the foliage and a small die cut flower has a pearl centre.

I also made a decoupaged collage card:

The lighthouse is from the Lighthouse Jewel It set and the girl is from the Beach Babes collage set. I cut the background paper, from the Crumbling Walls paper pack, to overlap the base of the lighthouse like 'waves' and popped the girl on foam pads. Underneath her is double sided tape which had sandy glitter applied. The seagull was decoupaged and left with open wings. The blue background paper is from the Splashdown ATC set.

I made a retro style card:

I love this lady - she is from the Poolside collage set. I fussy cut her away from the background and chose an ocean scene background from the Surfing Safari Kit. I added some white heat embossed hearts to the ocean and some glitter to the sun's rays. The lady was popped up on foam tape for dimension and the whole image was matted on a piece of card that was smooshed in oxide various blue oxide inks. I found the sentiment online.

Gecko Galz: Spun Sugar

Hello

The May customer challenge over at the Gecko Galz blog is Spun Sugar.

As always, we also have the monthly Image Challenge, the monthly Christmas Image Challenge, the monthly Stamp Challenge, an ATC challenge, a Steampunk challenge and a Gothic Challenge on the blog, as well as 4 Facebook challenges. These can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the main blog page.

We hope you can find some time to join in the fun.

Each blog post has a free image to collect and, if you sign up for the monthly newsletter, there is the chance to claim a free collage set each month.  Also if you make any purchase of $2 or more you receive a free image.

I made a set of four snarky, retro birthday cards:

I used re-sized Passion Fruit ATCs for the background and fussy cut some of the retro girls from the Retro Home Front Kit . I teamed them with snarky sentiments that were typed and cut into strips. I added a circular die cut sentiment from the Happy Birthday to You sentiment stamp set.
I decided to make a gift of these cards, so I popped the cards and envelopes into a cellophane bag and tied a gingham ribbon around the top

I'd like to play along in the following challenges:

As You Like It Masculine or Feminine 31/05
I prefer to make Feminine projects as most of my supplies are for girls :)

I made a birthday card:

I used one of the images  (ht24) from the High Tea Kit. I fussy cut it and made a smooshed Distress Oxide ink background. I added some stamping around the edges and grounded the image with hand drawn grass. I made a banner sentiment using one of the Happy Birthday to You sentiments, I inked around the edges of the sentiment and added it along the bottom edge.

I'd like to play along in the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge 729 AG 26/05
We Love 2 Create #4 AG MM 27/05
Cardz4galz #199 Backgrounds 31/05
A Place to Start May AG 02/06

***
I made a couple of tags:

I die cut the tags using a Sizzix die. I used Oxide inks and a floral background stamp to make the background then lightly blended ink all over. I added the gold trim and the fussy cut images and finished off with sentiments and organza bows.
The little girl image is from the Retro Girls collage sheet and the retro woman is from Kitchy Cool ATC set. The banner flags and sentiment on the yellow tag are from the Happy Birthday to You sentiment stamp set.

***
Finally I made an ATC:

I love this image from the Cute Clips collage set. The background is brayered PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints. I added some black stamping around the edges and tore pieces of washi tape for the image to sit upon. The Live, Love, Bake is a Gecko Galz sentiment.

Gecko Galz: Welcome to Wonderland

Hello

Welcome to Carmelle F, my new follower.
Thank you for showing an interest in my projects :)

At Gecko Galz the challenge theme this month is Through the Looking Glass.

And, new for this year, we have a quarterly challenge - the current one being make a Junk Journal - which ends on February 26th.
We hope you can find some time to join in the fun.

The winner of the Customer challenge will get a $25 Gecko Galz Etsy Store voucher and the runner up a $12 voucher. There are plenty of free Gecko Galz images if you don't already own any. Each blog post has a free image to collect and, if you sign up for the monthly newsletter, there is the chance to claim a free collage set each month.  Also if you make any purchase of $2 or more you receive a free image.

I made a card:

I love this image of an innocent Alice having her attention caught by the white rabbit hurrying by. Notice the little pixies peeping round from the undergrowth behind the characters.
The image is from the Wonderland Collage set and the paper is from the Wonderland ATC set. I popped the image on foam for dimension and added a piece of velvet ribbon along the bottom. I made a paper flower and die cut some leaves for decoration.

I next made a silhouette card:

This beautiful silhouette is one of 12 from the Wonders of Wonderland  Kit. It is popped on foam tape on top of paper from the same kit. I used red card for matting and added a red velvet trim and a knot bow, along with a sticker sentiment.
This is my example for one of the Facebook challenges - black and white with a pop of colour.

I also made a couple of digital collages.

I used digital ATC papers from the Looking Glass ATC set for the backgrounds, adding painted edge digital masks from Pixel Scrapper to add interest to the paper edges and floral elements for decoration. The beautiful images above are from the Wonders of Wonderland Craft Kit.  The image below is from the Wonderful Wonderland Collage set

Here are the products I used:
Looking Glass ATC                 Wonders of Wonderland

Wonderful Wonderland                 Wonderland
