Gecko Galz: Nevermore and Halloween

 Hello

It's a new month and we have a new customer challenge over at the Gecko Galz blog.

The theme this month is 'Nevermore'

As always, we have free images to download to make projects to enter the Card Challenge, the Christmas Image Challenge, the Fantasy Challenge, an ATC challenge, a Steampunk Challenge and a Gothic Challenge,. The free images can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the main blog page. We also have a quarterly challenge on the blog.

If that isn't enough challenges, we also have 4 Facebook challenges each month.

We hope you can find some time to join in the fun.

The winner of the Customer challenge will get a $25 Gecko Galz Etsy Store voucher and the runner up a $12 voucher. There are plenty of free Gecko Galz images if you don't already own any. Each blog post has a free image to collect and, if you sign up for the monthly newsletter, there is the chance to claim a free collage set each month.  Also if you make any purchase of $2 or more you receive a free collage sheet.

Here are the projects I made.

It's a set of raven ATCs.

I used the NeverMore collage set. The images were added on foam tape to Gecko Galz's King Louis ATC papers, then matted with foam pads again onto gold, then black card, so they have many layers and dimension.

Here are close ups:

The edges of the ATC papers were heat embossed in black glitter and a piece of gold texture trim was placed below each image.

Each ATC has a sticker embellishment, either a spider's web or a bat.

Words from Edgar Alan's poem 'Nevermore' were printed, cut into strips and adhered.

I also made this digital collage:

Since it is October, I also made some retro Halloween cards. I used images from the Halloween Card Toppers kit.

I added die cut ferns and flowers to this lovely Halloween girl's card.

A snazzy orange ribbon with a knot bow was added to this Halloween greeting.

This sweet retro witch was in need of a die cut broom and pumpkin.

And, finally, this digital card:

That's all for now!

I hope you'll join our 'Nevermore' challenge where the winner will get a $25 shopping spree at the Gecko Galz shop.

The only rule is that you must use at least one Gecko Galz product (this can be one of the freebies or, of course, you can buy at the Etsy store!) Also if you sign up for the Gecko Galz newsletter, you'll be able to claim a free collage sheet each month.

Please pop over to the Gecko Galz blog to see the fabulous designs by the very talented DT.

We also have a friendly Facebook Group where there are 4 monthly challenges, each with a bespoke digital prize.

Do come and join us!

I'll be back at the end of October when we have our annual blog hop. Don't miss it, we have free collage sheets on every blog and great prizes to be won!

Here are the projects I made.

First is a mini book:

Here are the individual pages:

I used papers from my stash and die cut them with a banner die. I scored one inch from the top of each banner and punched holes for the archive clip to act as the binder.

All the images are from a new collage sheet called Whimsical Circus.

The words are from a poem and, where I could, I found images to match the words.

I added die cut hand made flowers and foliage to each page as well as some gold, die cut stars.

Each image is matted onto either red or black cardstock.

And here is the booklet standingup:

Next I made some digital collages:
