* Path of Positivity: Mucha's Reverie

Hello!

Happy Monday!
Hoping you are staying safe and well.

Today is the start of a new Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Style.

**We all have our own unique way of doing things.**
This month create a project that reflects your own unique style or one that connects to style in general.

Prizes this month include:
  • $10 gift certificate from Lunagirl Images our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

I was lucky to receive an image from our guest sponsor, Lunagirl Images.
I chose the lovely collage sheet called Mucha #1 because the beautiful girls in the swirly, floral, art nouveau style frames really appeal to my sense of style. I also love the colours - corals and greens go beautifully together.
Mucha was a Czech painter and illustrator. His work features beautiful women with long hair and flowing garments often surrounded by botanical motifs in delicate shades of peach, gold and ochre. His work was often used in advertising.
This particular illustration appeals to me as the elegant lady is relaxing, surrounded by flowers and is reading a book. This is my idea of heaven!

Here is the card I created:

I decided to make a gatefold card to showcase this beautiful image. I chose papers that echoed the colours in the image, choosing the green paper from Gecko Galz's Gatsby paper pack and the peach paper from Yani. I edged the cut papers with coordinating inks and matted onto black paper. I made die cut paper flowers and foliage as embellishments.

Many thanks to Lunagirl Images, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

Poppy Sprite

Hello

I used the gorgeous Poppy Sprite digital stamp from Aurora Wings for my card today.

I decided to make a simple gatefold card to reveal the Poppy Sprite inside.

I used digital paper from Pixel Paper Prints for the background and adhered white die-cut doily halves as a backdrop for the image. The image was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and die cut with a Cottage Cutz stitched rectangle die. It was added on foam pads for some dimension. The sentiment is a glitter sentiment from Papermania and this too was attached on foam pads.

The front panels had the same patterned paper which was decorated with white die-cut borders and corners from the Spellbinders Parisian Accents set. I added two die cut flower embellishments, each with a clear gem centre, as a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today.

xoxo
