{Pin}spirational Challenges: Psalm 91

Hello!

Today is the start of a new challenge at

{PIN}spirational Challenges.

Challenge #189 runs for 2 weeks until 3rd May.

Here is the inspiration photo:

This time we are sponsored by the wonderful Imagine That!  and the Cutting Cafe

I was lucky to get an Imagine That! digital set to work with called Psalm 91. It is so very beautiful and amazing value for money, containing a bird on a blossom branch in both colour and outline, plus seven sentiments of sympathy and encouragement.

Here is my card:

I chose to make a super quick and easy card. I used the .png bird on branch image and the .png sentiment and placed them onto pink butterfly patterned digital paper (from another Imagine That! set called Freda's Flower Basket), then printed them out. The green paper is also from Freda's Flower Basket. The papers were trimmed to size, the edges inked and matted onto black card.
I decided that I wanted a little dimension on my card, and so I printed the bird on the branch a second time, but this time I fussy cut the bird and some of the blossoms. The bird was adhered on foam pads and the blossoms were shaped and glued into place. Glossy Accents was placed in the centre of each blossom.
The completed card is 6 x 6 inches.

hope you'll pop over to
to check out the gorgeous designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to take part in the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by today.
xoxo

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Panda

Hello!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.
I hope you'll join us.

You can enter your projects until the 3rd May.

Here is the cookie photo inspiration:

This time we are sponsored by Imagine That! and Fabrika Fantasy.

I was lucky to get a pre-coloured digital set from Imagine That! called Pandas to work with. This set is amazing value, just look what it includes (there are also panda outline stamps, so that you can colour your own!):

Here is my card:

The papers, image and sentiment came with the set, so all that I had to do was decide how to arrange them. I decided to place the .png panda image over the bamboo  paper along with the sentiment. This was printed out along with the plaid paper. I inked the edges of the image block and patterned paper, then matted them on black card. The image mat was placed on foam tape to add a little dimension and a ribbon attached along the left side and tucked beneath the plaid paper mat. All was adhered to a 6 x 6 inch card base.
This card looks lovely in real life. It was quick and easy to make and is fairly flat for easy mailing.

That's all from me for today. Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the

Gingerbread Bestie

Hello!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.
This is the last challenge of 2016 - you can enter your projects until Dec 28th.
We shall be back next year, on January 12th, with the next challenge.

Our sponsor is the wonderful Sherri Baldy.

And here is the image to spark your imagination:

.

It's a gorgeous gingerbread house.
How will it inspire you?

Sherri is offering 3 digis as the prize for our winner.
I was lucky to be given one to work with - I chose the Gingerbread Bestie and went along with a similar colour scheme to the photo.

I won DT Favourite at Cards in Envy with this card.

My image was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut leaving a thin white border. The background paper is a digital download from Imagine That called Merry and Bright. I matted this onto black card. I added a white die-cut lattice and some die-cut fancy corners. Glittery gold mesh was placed across the centre and the Bestie image was mounted on foam pads for dimension. I felt that the card was fussy enough, so decided to leave it without a sentiment.

That's all from me for today. Now it's over to you...

Christmas Bird Trio

Hello!

Today I'm showing a Christmas card using a digital stamp called Christmas Bird Trio from Imagine That.

My card has a very simple design. I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added glitter to the birds' hat trim. I added dots of glitter to the image background to represent falling snow. The image was die cut using a stitched rectangle die and matted onto green, then red card. The background papers are Graphic 45, Twelve Days of Christmas. These were leftover pieces from a previous project, so I'm calling them 'snippets', so I can enter Di's Snippets Playground challenge this week! These papers were  matted onto dark red card and a ribbon secured along the bottom edge to which I attached a bow. The image was adhered on foam pads for some dimension and 3 ivory peals completed the card.

My card was WINNER at Sparkles Challenge and featured on TTCRD

Thanks for stopping by today.
