Conjurer of Dreams: Spring Days

Hello

Today I'm sharing some projects I made using Conjurer of Dreams images. I hope you'll pop over to the store and take a look at the Digital Art on sale for collage, scrapbooks, journals, cards and more.

We have an open, worldwide challenge at the Conjurer of Dreams Blog.

The challenge theme is always 'Anything Goes'.

Here are my DT makes:

I made a diamond point card using one of the beautiful Lavender Fields images. I added some die cut flowers coloured with distress inks as embellishments. The background paper is from my stash.

Next I made a framed image card:

The beautiful girl is from the Prairie Wind set and she is framed with one of the Vintage Flower Frames. I added a little more depth of colour to the flowers in the frame with Polychromo coloured pencils. The framed image is on foam tape to lift it from the background which is blended oxide inks, splattered with white paint.

Next is an ATC:

I cut a black piece of card measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches and trimmed the Spring Morning ATC Background just smaller.  The fussy cut Grumpy Senior Lady Gardner looks perfect in the Spring Morning floral background. She's been added on foam tape and I added Glossy Accents to the flower centres and added a die cut, oxide coloured flower as an embellishment.

Next is a Thank you card:

Once again I used the Spring Morning Card background, but this time added one of the gorgeous Boho women. I fussy cut her, added foam and popped her on the card so that she is dimensional. The flowers in the background have glossy accent centres for texture. The sentiment was typed, printed and cut and popped on the card with foam tape.

Gecko Galz: Gnome ATCs

 

Hello

Over on the Gecko Galz blog there are image challenges, where we are given images to download, print out and make projects. 

There is a Card Challenge, the Christmas Image Challenge, the Fantasy Challenge, an ATC challenge, a Steampunk Challenge and a Gothic Challenge and a quarterly challenge,. The free images can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the main blog page. 

The customer challenge theme this month is Gatsby Girls.

The winners of the image challenges will get a $25 Gecko Galz Etsy Store voucher. 

I decided to play with the free ATC set.

Here are my ATCs:

I love the gnome, so I decided to print him out in different sizes and flipped him horizontally as well. The backgrounds are beautiful snowy scenes. I added a fussy cut snowflake on each ATC and lots of white paint splatters and glitter. I grounded the gnomes with a charcoal, watercolour shadow.

* Gecko Galz: Rustic Christmas

As you know the Gecko Galz blog carries quite a few image challenges every month.

This month I've decided to play along in the ATC challenge. 

A collage sheet is provided with ATC backgrounds and images and we make an ATC, or several, and decorate as we wish.

You can get the ATC challenge sheet here. un the 29th December, then it will be gone!

Why not collect it and play along?

Here is what I made:

My cardinal ATC has the red bauble background.

I added some sisal fibres below the image and added glossy accents to the baubles. Two gold embossed wooden leaf embellishments were placed at the top of the ATC with a red velvet, knot bow. Some die cut foliage was added to the base of the image and a tiny tag from CoD  was tucked beneath the image.

The snowman and girl are on the snowy, pinecone background.

I added die cut snow banks to the base and mica flakes to represent the cold, icy conditions. Mr Snowman has pearl buttons and a Glossy Accent top hat. White splatters and silver adhesive dots cover the scene.

The plaid trees are on the patchwork background. Again I added die cut snow banks, with mica flakes, to place the trees upon. Pearl baubles decorate the trees and each has a silver star on top. Paint splatters and silver dots along with the title add the finishing touches.

* Conjurer of Dreams: Steampunk Puss In Boots

Today I'm sharing a tag that I made using Conjurer of Dreams images. I hope you'll pop over to the store and take a look at the Digital Art on sale for collage, scrapbooks, journals, cards and more. They are all 50% off until Sept 23rd.

This week in the Facebook Group we are celebrating the first anniversary of Conjurer of Dreams and we are having a week of sales, activities and prizes.

Today's activity is to make an ATC or a Dex Card with the theme 'Steampunk'.

Here is my ATC:

I used one of the Steampunk Puss in Boots images along with a background from Steampunk Backgrounds and Elements. I manipulated the images digitally to get the cat to stand against the background and the frame in front of him. The resulting image was printed and added to black card. I added gold acrylic pen around the outer frame and some gold embossing powder and  I die cut some cogs from gold painted card. I added Glossy Accents to the remaining cogs and to parts of the frame. I used alpha stickers to add the sentiment.

* Vera Lane Studio: Feel Good

It is Monday and so it's my Vera Lane Studio DT day. 

Today I have a project with a recently released digi set called 'Feel Good':

The images were coloured with Copic markers, whilst the background is Brushos sprinkled through a stencil and spritzed with water. I added some white heat embossing and some black stamping around the edges. Some Frantage enamel and paint splatters were also flicked over the background. I used a torn piece of washi tape to ground my girl, and I popped her on foam tape for some dimension. Finally I separated one of the sentiment into strips.

The stencil, stamps and washi tape are from AALL & Create.

* Vera Lane Studio: Let's Eat Pizza

It is Monday and so it's my Vera Lane Studio DT day. 

I used the newly released digi sets called Let's Eat Pizza and Let's Go to Italy for my ATC project:

I coloured the digis with Copic markers and finished off with Polychromos. The background is heat embossed with an AALL & Create stamp, then coloured with Brushos and water. Some black stamping was added around the edges and lots of white paint splatters. I grounded the characters on Janet's washi tape, then popped the characters on foam tape for some dimension. I added Glossy Accents to the olives and gold acrylic paint around the ATC edges.

Gecko Galz: Live, Love, Bake

May is here and we have a new customer challenge over at the Gecko Galz blog.  

The theme this month is Spun Sugar.

As always, we also have the monthly Image Challenge, the monthly Christmas Image Challenge, the monthly Stamp Challenge, an ATC challenge, a Steampunk challenge and a Gothic Challenge on the blog, as well as 4 Facebook challenges. These can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the main blog page.

And, new for this year, we have a quarterly challenge. This time the challenge is to make an altered canvas.

I made an ATC:

I love this image from the Cute Clips collage set. The background is brayered PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints. I added some black stamping around the edges and tore pieces of washi tape for the image to sit upon. The Live, Love, Bake is a Gecko Galz sentiment.

* Vera Lane Studio: Time for Christmas

 

Hello

It's Monday again and time for my DT day at Vera Lane Studio. 

 I am using the Time for Christmas set as I love these dinky, squishy characters.

I made a set of ATCs:

Aren't they the sweetest little people!

I coloured them with alcohol markers and made a smooshed Distress Oxide background with a couple of pink inks. I added some background stamping and some stamping in black around the edges and I also added some white heat embossed script (all stamps are Janet's 'Background Noise' from AALL & Create and it is my absolute favourite background stamp set). I added some chunky enamel for good measure.

I fussy cut my characters and trees and also some borders (from the Vera's Borders set). The sentiments are also from the Time for Christmas digi set.

I decided to make a Christmas card using one of the ATCs as a topper - it's on a smooshed Distress Oxide background. and I added a gingham ribbon and bow.
