* Vera Lane Studio: Quirky Halloween Zombies

Hello everyone!

I am just back from holiday and trying my best to catch up with visiting blogs and commenting. I promise I'll get round to yours as soon as I can!

Well, can you believe it? We are fast approaching the end of October! As you may know, at Vera Lane Studio, our monthly theme is Halloween. We are collaborating with the lovely Serena Bee and are using some of the October papers from her shop, Papercakes. I hope you'll pop over and see her wonderful products and stop by her blog for some Halloween inspiration.

For my final October DT post I made a card using this gorgeous little zombie trio:

Vera's Zombies, Gage, Rachel and Meow the cat are super-cute and quirky. They don't scare anyone at all! They are coloured with markers and fussy cut. They are popped on a background of black cats and swirls from the October Nights paper collection. They are standing on some pink stitched paper from the Spooky Pastel paper collection. The tiny ghosts are cut from Spooky Pastel paper and attached on foam pads.

* Gecko Galz: Bump in the Night 2

Hello everyone!

Today is my turn to share a couple of projects that I've made using amazing Gecko Galz papercraft products.

This month our customer challenge theme is
''Bump In The Night". There are still a few days left if you would like to enter the challenge and have the chance to win a $25 shop coupon!
We would really love to see your projects!

Here is a Pocket Letter I made:

For the ATC backgrounds, I used a selection of digital papers from the Never More Paper Pack and the Freak Show Paper Pack. Images were selected and fussy cut from these collage sets: Bump in the Night, Haunted Ephemera, Day of The Dead, Altered Halloween, Vintage Halloween, Witches. Some images were glued directly onto the backing paper, whilst some were popped on foam pads for dimension, with a small scrap of cheesecloth behind

Here is a closer look at each row:

Next I made an Edgar Allan Poe and The Raven card. The background paper is from the Never More Paper pack. The raven and book stack were cut from a second image and popped on foam pads along with the image of Poe from Bump in The Night. I printed part of the first line from the poem to add as a sentiment along with the Halloween Greetings from an image on the Halloween Magic collage sheet.

* Vera Lane Studio: Morty’s Halloween

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a quick Halloween card to share.
This month at Vera Lane Studio, as you probably know, we’re celebrating all things Halloween and collaborating with Serena Bee by using her gorgeous papers from her online shop, called Papercakes.

Here is my card using Morty's Halloween digi set:

I used Morty and teamed him with some pink papers from the Spooky Pastel collection. The black cat paper is from the October Nights collection. I must have printed this onto different card than I usually use, as the black wasn’t as  black as I like, so to save wasting it, I clear heat embossed it and that did the trick and also made it shiny! Do you like the little ghosts? They are cut out of paper from Serena's Spooky Pastel collection. The sentiment is from Halloween Expressions. I added some gems and sequins to bling it up a bit!

* Scrapbook Stamp Society: Halloween

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing my DT project for
Scrapbook Stamp Society

The challenge is always Anything Goes, but this time we have the optional theme of Halloween.

The Winners and Runner-Ups will receive My Bestie digital stamps from a selection on offer.  For more details, please pop over to the challenge blog.

Here is my card:

I used Halloween Spa for my card. I coloured the image with markers and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. Whilst the die was still in place I lightly inked the background. I matted the image onto black card and popped it on foam pads onto a background made with Spooky Pastel bat paper from Papercakes. The striped paper is from the October Nights paper pack. I added some black and white ribbon and matted all onto black card. I added a 'Boo' sentiment and a knotted ribbon bow.

I hope you'll pop over to the Challenge Blog and see the DT's fabulous projects.
We would love it if you'd share your work with us!

* Vera Lane Studio: Halloween Mix-up

Hello everyone!

Here at Vera Lane Studio, our theme this month is Halloween. Each month we have an ATC swap and this month DT member, Stephanie is hosting the Halloween Mix-up swap.

We are collaborating with the lovely Serena Bee, using some of the October papers from her shop, Papercakes. I hope you'll pop over and see the wonderful products for sale in her shop and stop by her blog for some Halloween inspiration.

I made these mix-up ATCs by swapping heads and bodies of the main character in each:

For this one I swapped Cindy Clawford's head for one of the Skullies' heads - I love the pumpkin hat! I added Corbett and the pumpkin pail from the Little Witch set and a sentiment from Halloween Expressions. Do you like the tiny googly eyes - I thought they were a fun addition! I used scraps of October Nights Paper from Papercakes for the background along with some glitter tape and some ric-rac ribbon.

For this ATC I used Cindy Clawford's head on Raven's body. I teamed her with a headstone and zombie daisy from Zombie Accessories and creepy-cute Carlos. This time I used scraps of Spooky Pastel papers from Papercakes for the background and a sentiment from Halloween Expressions.

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane. It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

* Vera Lane Studio: Raven and Pixie

Hello everyone!

Here at Vera Lane Studio, our theme this month is Halloween.

We are collaborating with the lovely Serena Bee, using some of the October papers from her shop, Papercakes. I hope you'll pop over and see the wonderful products for sale in her shop and stop by her blog for some Halloween inspiration.

I made this card using the gorgeous little zombie girl, Raven and her doggie sidekick, Pixie:

The images were coloured with markers and fussy cut. They were popped on foam pads onto a background made with Spooky Pastel papers matted onto black card. A torn piece of black and white washi tape was used to ground the images. The sentiment is from the Halloween Expressions set.
