Here is what I made as inspiration for the Customer Challenge.:

It's a minibook using images from Goddess of the Sea.
I die cut the pages from card and used a spatula to spread several shades of PaperArtsy Fresco Acrylic Paint over each surface. I stamped some fishes (PaperArtsy stamp) and heat embossed them with antique gold powder. I added some white paint splatters and embossed random patches of gold as well as swiping the edges of the booklet in Versamark and embossing them in gold.
The title is stamped with letter blocks and heat embossed in gold.

The pages are held together with a hinged silver ring binder clip.

Each image is edged in gold.
The image edges were swiped though a Versamark ink pad and then dipped in gold embossing powder and heated.

I die cut some sea grass and seaweed from gold paper.

I fussy cut several shell images from the 'She Sells Sea Shells' paper pack, inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink, and added them in front of the sea grasses and seaweeds.

I also added some white embossed fishes.

Here is the back page of the booklet:

Next I made some digital pieces.

Beauty and the Beach

Here I have one of the Goddess of the Sea images (with background removed) digitally added to one of the Summer Seas Tin Topper images. The wooden background is from the Woodwork ATC set. I added extra blue flowers to the four corners.

Let the Sea Set you Free

The background image is another of the Summer Seas Tin Topper images. I added a girl character(removed from her background) from Take Me to the Shore.  The clusters of shells are from image SS05 and the She Sells Sea Shells paper pack and the boardwalk background is an ATC from the Shabby Chic Collection.

The Ocean is Calling.

The shell frame is from my stash. I used one of the Summer Seas Tin Toppers for the shore image and added a little girl, with the background removed, from the 'Take me to the Shore' collage set. The board walk background is from the Shabby Chic ATC Collection.

Crafts Galore Encore: Fornasetti Inspired Girls

 Hello

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 29th April.

This month's challenge is kindly sponsored by WendyLynn's Paper Whims.

Here is what I made:

It's a mini book, made with images from WendyLynn's Paper Whims digital collage sheet called Fornasetti Inspired Ladies.

I die cut patterned paper for the pages and inked the edges in black. The Fornasetti ladies were fussy cut and adhered. I added black and white check ribbon to ground the images and made paper flowers as embellishments. I added black sticker sentiments and created the title on the front page with alpha stickers. The book is bound by metal snap rings.

Here are the individual pages:

Here is what I made - first up is a cowgirl Pocket Letter made up of 9 ATCs:

I haven't made a pocket letter in quite a few years - at one time I used to trade them on a regular basis and I really enjoyed the process. Looking for something else, I came across a folder full of the clear plastic, pocket letter sheets and that's what inspired me to make one.
Here I used kraft card as my ATC base and adhered a rectangle of wood-look patterned paper (from my stash) which had all four edges distressed.
A few collage sheets were used for the cowgirl images - I chose the larger head shot ones and had some of my girls leaning outside the frames.

The denim frames and pocket are from the Ride 'Em Cowgirl Kit. I love the stitched frames and the stars. I made the denim pocket (below) into a shaker ATC.

These are the sets used for images:

I made an altered notebook:

The gorgeous cowgirl image is from Glam on the Range and the roses background paper is from Red Bird Way - the January Kit Club set. The brown paper is from the Ride Em Cowgirl Kit. I added hemp trim and metal star studs, along with a typed quote.

Here is what I made as inspiration for the Customer Challenge..

It's a rolodex mini book with a cowgirl theme:

I sandwiched together two die cut, brown gingham patterned rolodex cards with ivory lace in between. In all there are 5 double pages.
I used lots of different Gecko Galz collage sets, all listed at the end of this post, and I raided my stash of laces, trims and embellishments for suitable items.

Here are the pages in close up:
