Crafts Galore Encore: Blue Jays

Hello

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (BST) 29th April..

This month's challenge is sponsored by Kim from Conjurer of Dreams and the random winner will receive their choice of 2 sets of digital collage sheets from her store..

Here is what I made:

Kim kindly gave the DT some images sets to make samples. Here I used the Watercolour Bluejays. I resized the images as I wanted to make a set of ATCs.

I inked around the image edge with Vintage Photo, then matted onto gold paper. This was then adhered to the ATC kraft card. I used some ancient gold sticker strips to create an inside border around the images and splattered the images with white paint. I die cut some leaves in gold and brownish colours and die cut blue flowers, adding two together with a gold flat-back gem for the centre.

The sentiments are stickers which are inked around the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink

That's all for now.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs and to enter our challenge.

We'd love to see your creations.

Happy New Year

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th January.

This month's challenge is kindly sponsored by SheepSki Designs.

Here is what I made:

I used the digi called It's a Spring Thing which features a cute little gnome on a swing which is hanging from a tree branch. I decided to add the png image file onto a photograph of a woodland path in springtime.
I coloured the image with Copic markers and mounted it onto black card. I teamed it with some Tim Holtz paper for a vintage look and embellished simply with a vertical strip of paper and green velvet trim with a knot bow.

* Crafts Galore Encore: Vintage Christmas

 Hello

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th December.

This month's challenge is kindly sponsored by Gecko Galz.

Here is what I made:

It's a tri-fold card decorated with papers from the Stephanie Paper Pack, matted onto gold card. The edges of the papers have been heat embossed in gold.
The image is from the Once Upon a Time Junk Journal Kit. This image was heat embossed in gold along the edges, as was the sentiment which is from the Christmas in Nature ATC set.
I decided to add some die cut gold baubles to the side panels.
From above it looks like this:

I cut the base of the card from some pearlised, embossed card that I've had in my stash for years - it's perfect for this style of card as both sides are pearlised and it saves having to cover the back of the card as well. There is room on the back for any greetings and messages.

Here is how it folds up to fit a standard 5 x 7inch envelope.
