Summer Libby Card

The theme for Week 22 at Digi Choosday is 'Think Summer'.

Here is what I made:

I used design paper from Deco Time for the background.
The image is from Polkadoodles and is called Libby. She was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, then die cut with a stitched rectangle and mounted on black card.
A white die cut doily was placed beneath the image which was attached on foam pads.
A banner was made to carry the sentiment.
Prima flowers were glued together with a pearl centre and die cut leaves in creamy-gold card were arranged all around.

ATC: Vera Lane 'Magazine Eyes' swap

Hello!

Today I'm showing an ATC made for a swap with the Vera Lane Facebook group.
The theme is 'Magazine Eyes'.
Here is my make:

The background was made from a snippet of white card. Modelling paste was randomly applied  through a Tiny Dots stencil, then Tim Holtz Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed and Memento Bamboo Leaves were blended to provide the colour. A hand drawn border was added.

The digi images I used are Whimsical Bird Lover (girl), Birdy (birdhouse and post) and a free doodle border for subscribers to the  Vera Lane Facebook group.
All were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut and attached on foam pads. Bird Lover's eyes were replaced with magazine eyes. The sentiment is from the  Whimsical Bird Lover set.

Birdhouse

This card was chosen in the Top 3 at Digi Chooseday and it won me another feather in my cap!

Over at Digi Choosday, the Week 16 challenge is 'Tic Tac Toe'.
Three or more items from this grid must be used:

I made this card and used a charm, a tag with a sentiment, lace and flowers.

The images are from Polkadoodles. The birdhouse is Beautiful Birdhouse 4 and the fence is a free digi from the Tatty Twinkle Easter bundle. They were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.  They were attached with foam pads to a piece of white card which had been dry embossed with an Xcut Quilt folder. This was matted on to green card and attached with foam pads to the design paper from a pad called Spring in Bloom by Trim Craft.

White cotton lace was adhered along the bottom edge of the card. Sparkly sticker strips were added to the spine edge of the card.

A glitter tag and sentiment was placed to the right of the birdhouse and a pink ribbon bow attached. A silver dragonfly charm was placed on a glue dot alongside the tag and card candy craft dots added to the top left corner.

Winnie Sugar Sprinkles

The challenge this week at Digi Choosday is Flower Frenzy.

I chose the beautiful Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime Design sheet 2 from Polkadoodles  for my card. There are so many ways you can use the pre-coloured digital images and background.

Whoohoo!!! This card helped me to win a Feather in my Cap and was chosen by the DT to be in the top 3.

Here is my make:

I printed the sheet out twice so that I could add dimension by using foam pads. The only 'extras' I used besides the design sheet was a couple of die cut doilies as a background for the main image, and a glittered sentiment.

I then decided to go with a simple, traditional layout which although quick and easy, is still lovely to give and receive. This one still has dimension, but was made with just one copy of the design sheet.

The card itself is made from kraft card which I think perfectly compliments the lovely pastel colours of the background papers. The image was edged in pink chalk and mounted on foam pads. The butterfly and sentiment were part of the design set. The only embellishment I added was the string of pink crystals. Simples!

Pawly Sick

Here is my make for this week at Digi Choosday where the theme is 'Thinking of You'.

This helped me to win another feather in my cap!

The background is glitter card stock from Deco Time. The image is called Pawly Sick from Polkadoodles. It's a gorgeous little bunny feeling 'under the weather'.  I printed the image three times so that I could colour and 3D decoupage it to give it some dimension. It was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. The decoupage was mounted on red card stock from Core'dinations and placed on foam pads onto the backing card. A Papermania glittered sentiment was added.

Tag: Animals and Insects

So... I've seen some blogs where a project is entered for several challenges. I thought I might try this for a change today.

Here's the tag I made using snippets of left over card.

Tag background: Balzer Designs 'stick flowers' stencil, Inkylicious ink dusters, Memento inks. When the background was inked, I splashed some water, let it sit, then dabbed it up with tissue to create the water stain effect. I inked the reverse of the stencil, sprayed with water, then stamped and brayered it onto the non-inked part of the background.

Images: These Inkilicious Twinchie bee stamps (I think these are now discontinued) were heat embossed with Black Sparkle powder onto scraps of white card.  Bee body was coloured with watercolour pencils, and wings with crystal glitter. They were fussy cut and attached to tag with pop dots.

Flower: Prima flowers with inked edges and black crystal gem. Leaves cut from white card with Spellbinders Foliage dies, coloured with distress ink and shaped. Pearl stamen and natural fibres attached.

The back of the tag was covered in book paper, aged with distress ink and stamped with a flourish stamp from Inkylicious Elements 1 set.
The challenges I am entering are:
