Hello!
I'm back with my second project for my DT day with Vera Lane Studio.
I made a Halloween card with the Bewitchingly Cute set of digis. The set comes with two whimsical, vintage-style witches and a sentiment.
I love Alwina and Della, these two whimsical witches! I coloured them with Copics, added a few highlights with a white Posca pen and fussy cut them. It was difficult to fussy cut around the handle of the pumpkin, so I cut it off and attached a string handle instead. This allowed me to let both witches hold the handle! I added Glossy Accents to the witches eyes and to the black boots and coat buttons.
The background was made with Distress Oxides (Carved Pumpkin and Fired Brick). I added some Black Soot around the edges along with some stamped sketchy leaves and some crackle texture along the bottom section. I water-coloured the leaves with Antique Photo ink and then finger painted them with gold acrylic. I added gold acrylic paint along the edges too. I outlines the leaves with black Posca pen and inked all the edges with black Ranger archival ink.
The witches were added to the background on foam pads for some dimension and were grounded with some textured trim.
