* Crafts Galore Encore: Rory's Orchid

 Hello

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th July.

Colour of Love is very kindly sponsoring this month's challenge.

Here is my project using the lovely Rory's Orchid digi:

I die cut the stamp with a Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle. I the coloured the digi stamp with Copic markers and inked around the background whilst the die was still in place to give the white frame around the stamp.

I used a MoJo Monday card sketch (#242) for my design and used design papers in co-ordinating colours.

I added a scalloped crochet lacy die cut and made a paper flower to finish off my card.

Many thanks to Colour of Love for supporting the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs.

We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card and you can enter up to 3 times.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo

* Crafts Galore Encore: Antoni Coffee Gnomie

Hello

Today sees that start of a new year of challenge at Crafts Galore Encore

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th January.

Digi Doodle Studios is kindly sponsoring this month's challenge.

Here is a card I made with Antoni Coffee Gnomie:

Yay!!! I made my first Christmas card for this year!

I coloured Antoni with Copic markers and fussy cut around him leaving a thin white border. I used some beautiful Graphic 45 'Twelve Days of Christmas' papers. I popped Antoni on foam pads atop one of the little cards that says 'Glad Tidings'. I added a decorative golden border strip to the top of the label then matted it onto green plaid and red plaid papers.

I die cut some pine leaves from card coloured with Distress Oxides and added 3 red berries. White paint splatters were added to the foliage and berries and a tiny metal tag saying 'Believe' was adhered to the base.

Many thanks to Digi Doodle Studios for supporting the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs.

* C.R.A.F.T GDT: Shabby Chic Ice Queen

Hello!

I am delighted to be joining C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Blog for a month of Guest DT posts. Thank
you to Jo and the C.R.A.F.T. Team for inviting me.

The challenge theme this fourth and final week is Shabby Chic and the sponsors are Colour of Love and SheepSki Designs.

I was fortunate to receive this beautiful image, called Ice Queen, from SheepSki Designs. Here is my project:

I coloured the image with Copic markers. I added Glossy Accents to the jewels in her head dress. I used a die to cut the image out. Keeping the die in place, I lightly blended Pumice Stone Distress Oxide around the image. I added some Quickie Glue pen and some iridescent glitter to the snowflakes and to the Ice Queen's eyebrows.

I I used some pretty pearlescent card to die cut the lacy borders and tucked them behind the image and also behind the patterned paper image mat. The image itself is popped on foam tape for some dimension. I added several layers of distressed edged mats finishing with a pearly silver one.

The pink, organza bow was attached to the top left corner and a gemstone flower to the bottom right corner.

Many thanks to Colour of Love and Sheepski Designs for sponsoring the challenge.

That's all for now.

You can enter the C.R.A.F.T. challenge twice - we hope to see you there.
Thanks for stopping by today.

* Path of Positivity: Sea View

  Hello!

Today is the midway point of the May Path of Positivity challenge.
The challenge lasts for the whole month of May.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of
Change Your Environment.

Prizes this month include:
  • TWO digital images from All Dressed Upour guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
Our optional theme this month is
Change Your Environment.
This could be going for a day out or taking a holiday,. It could be going for a bike ride or a walk. It could be changing something at home - decorating, painting, gardening. Or it could be making changes to help save our planet.
There are so many ways you can interpret the optional theme this month. We are waiting to see your take on the theme.

Please remember ...
... in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

For my project, I used Sea View from All Dressed Up.
Going to visit the seaside is a wonderful way to change your environment. I am lucky to live only 20 miles away from the seaside, so an hour's drive will take me to the west coast of England where I can walk on the beaches and paddle in the sea. I love the fresh sea air and the sound of the seagulls.
Here is my card:

I used Copics to colour the image and used a die to cut it out. It is a long time since I used patterned paper, but this paper pad had perfect sea themed papers that matched my colour scheme, so I simply cut out 2 more squares using the same die set and layered them up. I decided to add some hand made, die cut flowers and I used Distress Oxide inks to colour them. I gave each flower a pearl centre.  Next, I found this 'hello' sentiment, probably made years ago, that I had made from glued together die cuts. I added a little black ink around the edges to give it a bit of definition and to help it stand out against the patterned papers. I added a coupe of leaves and some pearl stamen to the flower cluster.

Many thanks to All Dressed Up, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

* Crafts Galore Encore: Seahorse

Hello!

August brings another Anything Goes challenge at Crafts Galore Encore

The sponsor this month is the fabulous Fabrika Fantasy who are offering three digi stamps to the winner.

Dmitry from Fabrika Fantasy kindly gave the DT some digital stamps to work with and here is the card I made:

I used the Beautiful Seahorse digi stamp and coloured him with Copic markers. He was die cut with a stitched rectangular frame and the background inked with Broken China Distress Oxide and sprinkled lightly with water to bleach out some colour.

He was matted onto some patterned paper and then popped on foam tape onto a darker background paper. I added some circle trim across the centre of the card and the image and mat was popped on top.  I made some die cut paper flowers with the same patterned papers and added a pearl to the centre of each and a couple of die cut, kraft card leaves.

Many thanks to  Dmitry at Fabrika Fantasy for generously sponsoring and supporting this challenge. We hope you'll pop over to the shop to see the many lovely products on sale.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DTs wonderful designs.

We'd love to see your creations.

* Colour Crazy: Penelope Hugs

Hello!

Today sees the start of a new colouring challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog. The challenge is always Anything Goes, but of course your card must feature some colouring. You can use any colouring medium you wish.

This week Oddball Art is the sponsor.
I was lucky to receive a digi stamp to work with and I chose Penelope No 3.
Here is my card using one of my favourite colour combos pink and green:

I cut the image with a Cottage Cutz Stitched Rectangle die and coloured Penelope with Copic markers, adding a few white highlights. Leaving the die in place, I blended Memento Pear Tart ink to the stamp background. I matted the image onto pink card.

The background is made from patterned glitter card by Deco Time. I chose two coordinating patterns and glued them together with a thin strip of pink card separating them. I matted the background papers onto pink card.  Next I added a strip of pale pink sheer organza ribbon along the bottom of the card. The image and mat was popped on foam tape and added to the centre of the background.

I cut two pieces of the ribbon and tied a knot in them, then attached the 'bow' to the bottom left side of the image. I die cut a flower circle, blended Picked Raspberry ink around the edges and stamped the word 'Hugs' in black. This was placed to the centre right of the image. I had some pale pink mulberry paper flowers in my stash, but as they were too pale, I added some colour with Distress Ink. When they were dry, I re-shaped them and glued a green gem to the centre of each. I arranged them in the top left corner along with some die cut leaves.

Many thanks to Oddball Art for sponsoring this challenge.
I hope you'll find time to share your coloured projects at the Colour Crazy Challenge
We'd love to see what you make!

That's all from me for today!

Cat Lovers Hop: Newton's Naptime

I am having trouble with Blogger.
I'm sorry, but I cannot comment on blogs that only allow Google account users to leave comments without moderation. I have no idea why and any suggestions are most welcome!

Hello!

It's Day 2 of the Cat Lover's Blog Hop! Head over to Janis's blog to see the wonderful creations already linked up! Why not come and join in with the fun and the chance to make some new friends and win some paw-some prizes!

Today's card is made with Newton's Naptime and I took inspiration for the colouring of Newton from the lovely cards on the website.

Newton's image was coloured with Copics markers and fussy cut leaving a thin white border.

 Copics used:
Newton: E30, E31, E33, E35, W1, W3, W5 and Blender
Blankets: YR14, YR04, BG11, BG13, W1 and Blender

I made the background with patterned design paper - in retrospect I should have inked the edges of the papers to add more definition, but it's too late now! I matted the dps onto teal card and popped Newton on foam pads. The lovely sentiment comes with the stamp set and this too is raised on foam pads.

That's all for today!
Come and join in the fun!

xoxo
