Gecko Galz: Star Maidens

Hello

It's a new month and we have a new customer challenge over at the Gecko Galz blog.

The theme this month is Star Maidens.

There is also a give away collage sheet on each DT blog page as we celebrate 'Christmas in July'. You won't want to miss these!

As always, we have free images to download to make projects to enter the Card Challengethe Christmas Image Challenge, the Fantasy Challenge, an ATC challenge, a Steampunk Challenge and a Gothic Challenge,. The free images can be accessed by the tabs at the top of the main blog pageWe also have a quarterly challenge on the blog.

If that isn't enough challenges, we also have Facebook challenges each month.
We hope you can find some time to join in the fun.

The winner of the Customer challenge will get a $25 Gecko Galz Etsy Store voucher and the runner up a $12 voucher. There are plenty of free Gecko Galz images if you don't already own any. Each blog post has a free image to collect and, if you sign up for the monthly newsletter, there is the chance to claim a free collage set each month.  Also if you make any purchase of $2 or more you receive a free collage sheet.

Here is what I made as inspiration for the Star Maidens challenge:

All images used are from the Star Maidens Collage set
***

You are Enough Card:
Gold embossing was added along the edges of the papers and image with tiny, flicked, gold paint splatters. Gold thread and stars were wrapped around fingers and placed below the image.

***

Nothing Like a Dream Bookmark:
Gold acrylic paint is finger painted along the edges of the bookmark and along the edges of the image. Lots of gold acrylic paint splatters and a gold ribbon add finishing touches to the bookmark.

***

Shine: Pyramid Card
Three square pieces of white card glued to make the pyramid shape when folded. The card lies flat for mailing and is held open with sticy velcro dots. Tiny gold gems and die cut stars are added as embellishments.

And 2 digital designs:

Conjurer of Dreams: Woodland Wildlife

Hello

Today I'm sharing some projects I made using Conjurer of Dreams images. I hope you'll pop over to the store and take a look at the Digital Art on sale for collage, scrapbooks, journals, cards and more.

We have an open, worldwide challenge at the Conjurer of Dreams Blog.
The challenge theme is always 'Anything Goes'.
We hope you'll share your projects with us.

We also have a friendly Facebook Group where we would love for you to share your Conjurer of Dream projects.

Here are my DT makes:

Using Sprng Mice

I made a pyramid card, backing the pyramid sides with patterned paper and die cutting the single mouse image. I die cut a slightly larger circle and coloured with distress ink oxides to act as the mat for the beautiful image. I made some paper flowers and added a gold dot for the centre. Foliage was also die cut and coloured with oxide inks. A tiny sentiment saying 'little things; was added.

Here I made a set of 4 Artist Trading Coins. The images were die cut, matted onto gold and then placed on black card ATCoins. Sticker sentiments were added.
***

Here I have a card. I used gold and black for matting and used the nesting mouse for the focal image. I die cut a flower and some foliage and tucked a tiny tag with the word 'hugs' stamped upon it.

***

Using Flower Garden and Friends ATC set

A set of 3 ATCs. The 'friends' were fussy cut, the edges inked and then popped them onto foam tape and onto the ATC garden backgrounds. The foam adds dimension to the ATCs. I added Glossy Accents to their sunglasses and a sticker sentiment.

Using Baby Forest AnimalsBranch Frames, Floral Borders and Corners and Nature Quotes
