Scrapbook Stamp Society: Christmas Dinner

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing my second December DT project for
Scrapbook Stamp Society

This is the reminder for the December challenge, which is Anything Goes, but as you would expect, this month we have an optional theme of Christmas. The challenge is open until January 14th.

The Winners and Runner-Ups will receive My Bestie digital stamps from a selection on offer. This time we have a 6 week challenge to take us over the holiday season and there are more prizes than usual! All details are on the challenge blog and there is a summary below:

3 first prizes of 5 digis and a Guest Designer spot on http://addicted-to-stamps.blogspot.nl/
5 second prizes of 3 digis
7 third prizes of 1 digi
3 DT winners and a Guest Designer win 2 digis http://addicted-to-stamps.blogspot.nl/
 5 Runner-ups win 1 digi

Here is my card:

I chose to use traditional Christmas colours to colour up the image. I fussy cut her and mounted her on foam pads onto patterned background paper. I distressed the edges of the papers and added some gold trim. I had a red poinsettia from The Ribbon Girl in my stash, so added this to the top left corner and die cut a sentiment from red and ivory card. I added some bling around the image mat.

I hope you'll pop over to the Challenge Blog and see the DT's fabulous projects.
We would love it if you'd share your work with us!

Sherri had very generously given the DT this beautiful image (IMG911) to share on our blogs, so please help yourself! Then you can colour her up and enter our challenge

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie: Snowman

Hello friends!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.

I do hope you'll join us.

You can enter your projects until the 10th January.

As always, there is cookie photo inspiration, and here it is:

The sponsor this time is the wonderful Fabrika Fantasy.

Here is my card:

I used images from Vera Lane Studio called Winter's Coat. The snowman, coloured with Copics, is popped onto a background made from Distress Oxides and white paint splatters. Die cut trees and snow mounds were added for the snowman to sit atop.

That's all from me for today.
Now it's over to you...

Gecko Galz: St Nicholas Tag

Hello crafty friends!

At the Gecko Galz blog, we are currently featuring The Tags of December event. Each day on the blog, a tag by one of the talented DT members is featured.

There are free prize packs for one Gecko Galz blog follower each day, so be sure not to miss this event!

Here is the tag I made:

All the printed paper products are from Gecko Galz. I used paper from the Winter Wonderland Paper pack as the background for my tag - I inked the edges in my favourite Vintage Photo ink. I added some ivory lace and some gold mesh trim, then layered a Santa Bingo card (from the Altered Christmas collage sheet) with some cheesecloth, some sequin trim and some hessian/raffia trim. The image of St Nick was added on top on foam pads and I tucked a snowflake, cut out from one of the Winter Wonderland papers and glittered with clear Stickles, onto a die cut doily behind the main image.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Sayings stamp set; I placed it onto a Cheery Lynn banner and added some tiny gems and some die cut, glitter card snowflakes. I finished the tag with a double organza bow.

Below are the Gecko Galz products I used:

Winter Wonderland                St Nicholas

Christmas Sayings           Altered Christmas

That's all from me for now!

I hope you'll join our 'Dashing Through The Snow' challenge. It runs until the end of December. Please remember to use at least one Gecko Galz image.
The winner and DT Favourite get a whopping $25 shopping spree at the Gecko Galz shop.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Vera Lane Studio: Winter Coat and Maple's Holiday

Hello everyone!

It's my DT day at Vera Lane Studio today and, as you might expect, I'm staying with the Christmas/Holiday theme.

Here is my first card:

I used the lovely Winter's Coat. The images are coloured with Copics and fussy cut. They are arranged on a distress oxide and white paint-splattered background which has a bare tree, die-cut overlay. I added some sparkle and glitter to the sky. The snowman and girl are set on die-cut snow mounds with washi for shadows.

And here is my second card:

For this card I used Maple's Holiday and teamed Maple with one of the trees from Tree Lot. The images are coloured with Copics and fussy cut. Glitter was added to the tree decorations and the star.  The images are placed on a background of blended distress inks with a spritz of Glimmer Mist.  I matted the inked background onto textured silver paper and also grounded my images with a torn strip of the same. A final teal mat finished off this card.
