Hello!
I'm delighted that I had some time to play along at the Rubber Dance Challenge this month.
Every month there is a colour challenge or, if you prefer, an Anything Goes Challenge. Projects can be entered on the Facebook Page.
I managed to go along with the May colour challenge. Here is the card I created:
I used stamps from two Rubber Dance sets - the fabulous Crazy Flowers (set #1) and the beautiful script word 'Fleurs' from Antique Botanicals. I stamped my flower, stem and leaf images and coloured them with Copic markers, adding some white Posca paint pen highlights. I fussy cut the flowers and stems and ran a black marker all around the cut edges to mask any cutting imperfections.
The background is blended Distress Oxides (Scattered Straw, Fossilised Amber, Salty Ocean and Broken China). I used a stencil and applied the darker oxides to the centre of the background. Once I was happy with the blending and stencilling, I splattered some water droplets to bleach out some of the colour and add texture. Then I added some black and white acrylic paint splatters and stamped the word Fleurs along the card edges using Broken China Distress Oxide. I inked the edge of the background in black archival ink and matted it onto kraft card. Finally it was fixed to a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by today.
xoxo
