Bugaboo Santa

Hello!

I'm showing a Christmas card I made using the Catch the Bug template for July.

I used the Bugaboo Freebie Friday stamp, coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers and added tiny dots of glitter to the tree. The image was die cut with a stitched rectangle from Cottage Cutz and matted onto two shades of green textured card.
The background paper is Dovecraft Christmas Fancy which was matted onto black card. A  Cheery Lynn pierced banner was die cut and backed in black card so that the black shows through the holes. The image was adhered on foam pads.
The sentiment was computer generated and mounted onto green card then attached on foam pads.

ATC & Card: Christmas in July

Hello!

I'm showing my Christmas in July ATC today.

I used a beautiful flamingo digi stamp from Miss Rach's 'Christmas in July' series of toons. I was lucky enough to win a set last week. You can find them here.

I found some ancient pastel-pinkish Christmas DP from Dovecraft in my stash and used this as the background. I cut it so that the sentiments "Merry Christmas" and "Let it Snow" would be visible. The flamingo was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers. Glitter was applied to the leggings, scarf and hat trim, then the image was fussy cut and attached on foam pads.

I added some clear snowflakes, which have a lovely iridescent shimmer, to the centre of each bauble then added a sequin on top to give some sparkle and dimension to the paper background.

Finally I added some pompom trim to imitate snowballs.

Now, I don't know about you, but I have a little pile of ATCs and I was wondering what to do with them. It occurred to me that I could make a card out of them, using the ATC as a topper.

Here is a card I made with my Christmas Flamingo ATC:

I used more patterned DP from the same Dovecraft pack and two of the Cheery Lynn Pierced Banner dies. I matted the background on black card, as well as the ATC and small banner. I backed the largest banner with black card so that the black would just show through the holes. The ATC and small banner were attached on foam pads.
I decorated the inside with the same paper and a die cut flamingo.

Enjoy the Ride

Hello!

\
I made Top 3 at Pinspirations and Top 5 at 613 Avenue Create

I'm sharing my make for June's Pinspitational Challenge

This is the inspiration picture:

I decided to go with a whimsical theme.

As you may know, I'm a big fan of Vera Lane Studio digis. Her whimsical characters are so gorgeous and always make me smile. I chose this set called Whimsical Bike Rider and the trees are from Whimsical Bird Lover.

I used slightly glittered, patterned DP called Wildflower for the background and matted it onto green card. The edges were inked in black. A strip of patterned, green Wildflower DP imitates the path in the photo. The images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut. They were mounted on foam pads to give some dimension.

ATC: Favourite Vera Lane Character

Hello...

I can't believe it's July already.... where did the last six months go?

Today I'm showing my latest ATC for the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group swap.
The theme this time is "My Favourite".

I chose the lovely Coffee Gal as:
a)  she was one of the first Vera Lane digis that I bought
b) she resembles me, in so far as I never have a coffee cup out of my hands (changed to decaff now, so I feel a whole lot better!)

She is accompanied by her kitty from Cats and Crocks and the flowers from May Birthday Girl.

The background is DP which has had Tim Holtz tissue added to the left side and darker DP at the bottom. The edges are inked in Vintage Photo (my all-time favourite).
The coffee gal, kitty and flowers were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut and mounted on foam pads (apart from the cat). Coffee Gal has glitter on her eyelids. The sentiment comes with the coffee gal set.
A hand drawn border was added to finish it off.

Here are the digis I used:
