* Artsystamper: Tea Party

Hello!
Happy Monday!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at the Artsystamper Challenge Blog
Each challenge runs for two weeks and starts on the first and third Monday of the month.
The theme for this challenge is Hot Drinks
I hope that you can find time to join in the fun!

The winner will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop. The Top 3 will also receive an image of Beverly's choice!
Beverly Cole’s selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-coloured images for easy, last minute cards. Why not take a moment and check out what she has in store!

Here is what I made:

I used Beverly's Lily's Tea Party Digital Stamp Set and the Marble Magic Digital Paper Pack. I started the project by laying the png file of the cup and saucer with shading on top of the marbled paper, which had been resized to fit my card base (5 x 5 inches). I printed a duplicate of the teacup and saucer and coloured it with my Copic markers, then added foam pads to place it onto the background. I decided to add a fairy cake and the words tea party. I inked the edges of the background with black archival ink and finally I stamped a wavy border from Rubber Dance's Doodle Border Set 1 and finished it off with white Posca pen dots. The background paper was matted onto black card and placed on the white card base.

Stay Weird

Hello!

I had a play today with one of my new Lost Coast Designs Stamps. The current challenge at The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity blog is Tag You're It, so that is what I made. As long as you use a rubber stamp on your tag project you're good to go!

I used the Aud Chicken stamp and teamed it with the Carmen's Veranda sentiment, Stay Weird. I used The Day of the Dead Angel's dress hem to create the border.
I made the tag from card which was coloured with Brushos applied through a stencil (Lotza Dots). The reverse of the stencil was covered in Brushos inky goodness, so rather than waste it, I stamped it into the white spaces. White and black paint splatters were added to the background and the edge of the tag was inked with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide.
I stamped a wavy line from the Fish and Heart set to ground my chicken. The chicken was stamped onto the tag and onto white card. I fussy cut the card and glued it to the tag. The sentiment was stamped and cut into strips so as to fit onto the tag. The edges of the sentiment were inked and when it was adhered to the background, I went around it with a black fine line pen.

How quirky is this aud chicken...

Thanks for stopping by today.

xoxo

I'd like to play along in these challenges:

* Vera Lane Studio: Fleur Fairy

Hello!

Happy Monday!

It's the start of another week and my DT day at Vera Lane Studio.
Today I am sharing my 'Things with Wings' project for the February ATC swap:

I used one of the Fleur Fairies (they are available on request) and my favourite VLS birdie from Lovely Garden. I teamed them with a couple of flowers, one from Sunflower and one from Sunny. I coloured all the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them. The background is Infusions in Blackcurrent and Golden Sands spritzed with water and some Glimmer Mist. I added some white paint splatters and some opaqued crackle paste through the Lotza Dots stencil from AAll & Create. The smaller images were stuck directly onto the background and the fairy popped on foam tape. The edges of the ATC were inked with black archival ink.

* Path of Positivity: You're Beary Special

Hello!

Happy Monday!

Today is the start of a new Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Adoration.
Each of us is better for the people in our lives, so we are asking that this month you create a project that shows how much you care for someone who holds a significant place in your life.

Prizes this month include:
  • $10 AU gift certificate from Beccy's Place, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

So - who do I adore?
Well, that's an easy question ... family members are the most important people in my world. I only have quite a small family now, but I treasure time spent with them. My sister is my best, best friend and is always there whenever I need her. She is the kindest person I know, generous with her time and patience, always there to listen and advise, and she will always go out of her way to help in any way she can. I love her very much and should tell her that more often!

I was lucky to receive an image from our guest sponsor, Beccy's Place and here is the card I created:

This is Loving Stanley. Isn't he adorable! I coloured him with Copic markers and fussy cut him, leaving a narrow white border. The background was made by sprinkling Sunset Beach Infusions over a Melina Dahl stencil - I love the burst of colour and the walnut stain particles. I inked around the edge of the background with Fired Brick and Picked Raspberry and finished with black archival ink. I added some stamping and some white paint splatters.
I decided to pop the image of Stanley onto a greyboard heart. I gave it a coat of white acrylic paint, brayered some Fired Brick and Picked Raspberry inks, stamped some text and added white paint splatters. Stanley was popped on top of the heart, along with the sentiment, also from Beccy's Place.

Many thanks to Beccy's Place, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

* Vera Lane Studio: Be Kind

Hello!

Happy Monday!

It is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio and we have a new digi set release out today. It is called Be Kind and features two quirky girls, one carrying a cupcake, the other a gift package, two sentiments and a decorative strip/border.

Here is the card I created with her:

I coloured both girls with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I made a few backgrounds using my gel plate and stencils with some new Fresco chalk paints in Sage, Khaki and Amethyst. Some random stamping was added with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and the edges of the background were inked to produce a frame. I added a die cut circle, which I  brayered with paints, and popped my girl on top with some green threads. I added the sentiment and hand drew a border.

This gift bearing girl hasn't made it onto a card yet:

Be Kind

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane.
It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

Thanks for stopping by today.

* Artsystamper: Hearts and Flowers

Hello!
Happy Monday!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at the Artsystamper Challenge Blog
Each challenge runs for two weeks and starts on the first and third Monday of the month.
The theme for this challenge is Hearts and Flowers
I hope that you can find time to join in the fun!

The winner will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop. The Top 3 will also receive an image of Beverly's choice!
Beverly Cole’s selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-coloured images for easy, last minute cards. Why not take a moment and check out what she has in store!

Here is what I made:

For the first card, I printed out 4 heart roses and fussy cut them, each time removing an outer layer of petals. I inked the edges and added some Stickles Diamond glitter to the petal edges and layered them together with 3D foam to make a large rose.
I made my background paper by overlapping the same heart rose. I added glitter around the edge of each rose.
Some glittered vellum was added to the centre of the background along with some pink  organza style ribbon and the rose was placed on top. The background was matted onto black paper and the sentiment inked and adhered on foam tape.

The second card has the same heart rose background and a white card topper made with three of the roses with 'love you' stems. I decoupaged three extra rose heads to add dimension and matted the topper onto black card. I made a banner with a strip of the background paper matted onto black card, and added a ribbon and a knot bow. The topper is placed on foam pads onto the background.

* Crafts Galore Encore: Sending Hedgehugs

Hello!

February brings another Anything Goes challenge at Crafts Galore Encore

The sponsor this month is the fabulous Bugaboo Digital Stamps who are offering the winner a $12 store voucher.

Jodie at Bugaboo kindly gave the DT some digital stamps  to work with and here is the card I made:

I coloured this cute image, called Bug Tulip Hedgie, with Copic markers and added some white Posca pen highlights. He was fussy cut, leaving a narrow white border and placed on an inked oval die cut. The background is Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron and ---, smooshed onto acetate with water and transferred onto the card. Twisted Citron was applied through an AAll & Create, Lotza Dotz stencil and blended with Peeled Paint. Some Mesh stamping was added using Hickory Smoke and some white paint splatters were flicked all over the background. The edges were inked with green and then black and matted onto black paper.
Two die cut borders were placed along the centre of the card along with some beautiful ribbon which I won in a challenge. The image and die oval were popped on foam tape to add some dimension.
The sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn stamp set, called Hedgehugs. It was cut into two pieces, inked and adhered.

Many thanks to Jodie at Bugaboo for generously sponsoring and supporting this challenge. We hope you'll pop over to the shop to see the many lovely products on sale.

Also, please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DTs wonderful designs.

We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
