* Vera Lane Studio: Small Things Matter

Hello everyone!

Today I have a card made with a new release from Vera Lane Studio

I love this cute little girl, Gloria, and her birdy friends!

The set is called Birds of A Feather - it has four images and a sentiment. I used all of them on my card. The images are coloured with markers, then fussy cut and glued directly onto the background.
The background was made by blending distressed oxides  and adding a mixture of ghosting, stamping and stencilling in Worn Lipstick and Broken China. The border and edges are Faded Jeans. I added some white and black paint splatters too.  I decided to doodle around the stencilled border with white Posca pen and a black fine liner and I finish it with a handrawn border.

How true is this sentiment? It's the "money-can't-buy", little things that often mean the most. The smallest gestures really can make all the difference. Just listening to someone's problems, or smiling, or giving a hug can have a huge impact.

Birds of A Feather
