* Vera Lane Studio: Adorabelle

It's Monday again and my day to share my DT project for Vera Lane Studio.

Today sees the release of Adorabelle. She truly is adorable and comes in a 7 digi set with one sentiment, one black and white digi for you to colour and 5 Adorabelles that are part coloured.

  I made a card featuring Adorabelle.

I chose the black and white outline digi so that I could choose my own colour scheme. I went with a monochromatic palette of golds. I coloured the Adorabelles with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I added heat embossing to their dresses using an intricate mandala pattern and gold and bronze powders from Honey Doo Crafts. I added Stickles to their wings.
The background was made with Distress Oxides using the dip, dab, dry, repeat technique. I added some water to the centre to blot some colour away and added some light stencilling. I stamped some text along the side edges, then heat embossed the mandala in gold and bronze along all edges and finished by inking in black.
I added the sentiment that comes with the set, but I also think that Adorabelle would make a beautiful Christmas fairy!
