* Fairy Magic

Hello

I've been playing with stamps and ink again.  In my mind, I know what I want to create, I'm just having a few problems getting it onto card!

Anyhow, here is what I created:

 My background was made using Brushos. I sprinkled some Alizarin Crimson, Lemon and Yellow Brusho pigments into separate wells on a palette and added water. Then using brushes I added splatters of each colour, drying in between applications, until the card was filled with colour. The edges were inked with Fired Brick and Black Soot and I added some hills using a Mountain and Valley stencil and Black Memento ink - this is definitely where I need more practice!

The Midnight Fairy stamp, from Inkylicious, was stamped and heat embossed. Some twig branches from the Cats on a Branch stamp set were added to each side of the background, along with some Bare Branches. Some Lavinia vines were added to the top of the card. The word 'Magic' from the Believe in Magic stamp was heat embossed in Gold.

Finally, I matted the card onto co-ordinating card stock and affixed to a 6 x 6 inch card  base.

That's all for today!

Thanks for stopping by.
xoxo

  5. Wow, Carole, that background is absolutely stunning! I have not tried Brushos but I'm very tempted after seeing what you've achieved! Gorgeous!

    I'm actually popping in to let you know I finally coloured up one of the Les Chats kitties that I won from you in the Cat Lovers Hop last fall. Yay! I posted my card on my blog today. Thank you!!! I love these cats! I have another one coloured and will be sharing a card later this month. They are really fun to colour and doodle! Awesome prize and I'm glad I finally made some time to colour!
