* AALL & Create: Breezy Birthday

 Hello

I have a Breezy birthday card to show today using stamps, stencils and washi tape from the fabulous AALL & Create.

I started by making a gelli print background using PaperArtsy chalk acrylic paints and the #87 Totally Dotty stencil.
I stamped the lighthouse from Bipasha's #442 Sea Essentials stamp set directly onto the background and added some grit texture paste to the bottom section through the beautiful #86 Twirling Tendrils stencil. I thought the tendrils looks like crashing sea waves.

The lighthouse was stamped onto card and fussy cut to lay over the one stamped onto the background - this way the little details surrounding the lighthouse are still in place.
I stamped the flowers from the lighthouse a third time, so that I could colour, fussy cut and shape them to add dimension to the card.
I coloured one of Janet Klein's #463 The Gentlemen. This one reminds me of Captain Birdseye with his heavy, cable, roll neck sweater. I thought he was perfect for the seascape.

I stamped letters from Tracy's #456 Snippet Alphabet to spell out 'Breezy' and the Birthday Wishes come from Tracy's #451 In The Bucket set.
I added some background stamping using # 469 Scripted Semicircles and some border stamping in black using #487 Reverse Semicircles.
To finish, I added some torn strips of #21 Beachrock washi tape.

  3. Love this very fun birthday card! I really like the mix of black and white images with the color background and the guy that looks like he’s been at sea for awhile, now having some time off on land. Great background and I agree that the Twirling Tendrils make wonderful crashing waves.

What an amazing card Carole, the vision of waves using the stencil is such a clever idea works incredibly well so effective and I totally agree he does look like Captain Birdseye albeit a little younger, maybe his Son hee hee.
