Hello!
The weeks are flying by again - already it's Monday and my DT day at Vera Lane Studio.
This month Sharon is hosting our ATC swap and the theme is Celebrations. In line with the Celebration theme, Janet has released a new Birthdays digi set today. It's a 3 digi set and includes a girl and a boy image and a sentiment.
Here is my card:
I love this cute little birthday boy! He is coloured with Copics and fussy cut. He has a few white Posca pen highlights and his candles have glitter for some sparkle.
His background started as a Brusho background - a mix of Ultramarine, Prussian Blue and Turquoise. When this was dry, I dry brushed Gesso, in sweeping strokes, across it to mute the colours slightly. I added some random number stamping in Faded Jeans Distress Oxide and some diamonds in black around the edges. I next added splatters of watered down white paint. I cut some blue and white design paper into border scallops and inked around the edges to make them stand out from the background. Finally, I inked around the edge of the background with black ink.
I popped the Birthday Boy on foam pads and sat him on washi and design paper, gluing his feet and candles directly onto the background. I cut the sentiment into strips, inked the edges and glued them down.
