Hello and Happy Monday!
Mondays arrive so quickly and I can hardly believe that we are in September now. It won't be long before we're seeing the beautiful autumnal colours. I can't wait for that!
Monday is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio and I have a card to share featuring the cute, new Goodnight Moon which is released today.
Monday is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio and I have a card to share featuring the cute, new Goodnight Moon which is released today.
Here is my card:
I coloured the moon girl with Copic pens and gave her some white highlights. I created a galaxy background for her using a blend of Distress Oxides (Fossilised Amber, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet). I spritzed water onto the inky background and blotted it to bleach out some colour. I added sparkle with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and also applied white paint splatters. I inked around the background with Black Soot Distress Oxide.
I fussy cut the moon and girl image and stars and carefully cut the sentiment into strips, lightly inking along the edges with black ink. All the elements were glued directly onto the background and placed on a white card base.
