Path of Positivity: Silent Night Wreath

Hello!

Happy Monday!
I hope you are staying safe and well.

Today is the midway point in the December Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Rejoice.

Prizes this month include:
  • $10 Gift Certificate from Limited Runs our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Our optional theme this month is Rejoice
For many, this time of year is an occasion for happiness. While the pandemic makes this year harder to get together with those you may normally spend time with during the holiday season, there are still many reasons we have to rejoice. Thus, we want you to create a project that reflects the JOY of the holiday season

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

I chose to use a beautiful stamp from Scribbles Designs called Silent Night Wreath.

I mentioned in my last Path of Positivity post about how we usually have a quiet family Christmas. The words of the hymn in the centre of this wreath sum up how I like to feel on Christmas Eve night, when all the craziness of last minute preparations and shopping have ended and we can sit down and relax. There is nothing better than a crisp, cold evening with stars twinkling and frost or snow forming on the ground, especially when you are tucked up inside a nice, warm home. All is calm, all is bright. If only everyone could feel this way.

Here is my card:

I made a shaker card by die cutting circles with an open centre. I glued about 8 together to form the sides of the shaker element. A smaller image was die cut to act as the shaker base and a slightly larger one to colour, fussy cut and add to the top of the shaker window.
Mica flakes and sequins were placed inside the shaker. Some extra leaves from a different wreath were cut and added for a little dimension to the wreath. Glossy accents was dotted over the holly berries for shine and dimension.
The shaker was placed on top of white dry embossed card which in turn was matted onto green mirror card.

Many thanks to Limited Runs, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!
