Path of Positivity: Every Dream Begins with a Wish

Hello

Welcome to the midway post for the Path of Positivity Challenge.

Our challenge is always Anything Goes with an optional theme. We have decided that our overall theme for 2024 will be THE POWER OF WORDS.

This month's option is to design a project that is inspired by quotes about Dreams.

Here are this month's quotes, but you can choose your own:

“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not’?” — George Bernard Shaw
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” ― C.S. Lewis

“No dreamer is ever too small; no dream is ever too big.” ― Anonymus

“Goals are dreams brought to life.” ― Amy Leigh Mercree

Honours and Prizes include:
  • $6 worth of images from Scribbles Designs, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • A badge for the following honours: Top PickVoter's ChoiceMost InspirationalRandom WinnerDT Delight.

Here is my midway DT project.

I chose Lavinia Stamps and a Lavinia Laurel stencil to make my fairy wish card.
The background is a gel print made with Distress Oxide inks and the Laurel stencil. I added extra Peacock Feather ink around the edges and along a landscape mask to show the ground. I ink blended around a circle mask to replicate the sun.
The Lavinia stamps used were: Moments Like These, one of the Large Wild Hares, the Fairy Charms, Foliage set, Mystic Swirl and the Every Dream sentiment stamp.
I added watercolour pencil to the fairy wings and some sparkle with Glimmer Dust glitter.

Here is what I made as inspiration for the Customer Challenge.
It's a Tag Booklet:

I cut tags from cream card and used a brayer and PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints to  colour them. The paint was vibrant and needed toning down, so I stamped a wavy pattern with Versamark and used white embossing powder. Once the tags were constructed into a booklet, I used the Good Vibrations ATC set for the background images and fussy cut images from the Sweet Summer Days collage set for the focal images. I added gold sticker borders around the background images. I typed and printed some summer sentiments and cut them into strips to add to each page.

Here is the front cover:

And this is the back cover:

The first two pages:

The middle pages:

And the last pages:

And here is the tag booklet opened up:

Preparation

1. Cut Tags.
2. Brayer paint.
3. Heat Emboss to tone colours down.
4. Ink around edges of each tag in black ink
5. Bind tags together to form the booklet (painted strips of paper).
6. Add ribbon for the tie mechanism under the front and back covers.
7. Decorate with chosen images.

I also made a wall hanging:

I enlarged images from the Beachy Jewel It collage set and mounted them onto drink mats which have a textured wood background. I distressed the edges of the images and inked in Vintage Photo ink. I made two copies of each image and fussy cut elements from the second images to add on foam tape, making each tile 3-D. I used a crop-a-dile to punch holes in the mats and threaded twine and wooden beads

A set of note cards:

I used images from Beachy Jewel It and Beach Signs collage sets.. Some elements are decoupaged to make the images three dimension. I inked the background mats in Distress Oxides and popped them onto white cards.

And finally, two digital scrapbook pages using the Summer Sweeties collage set:

Here is my DT project.

I smooshed white card through puddles of Distress Oxide, dipping and drying in-between applications. When dry, I stamped this beautiful woman from Lost Coast Designs directly onto the background and again onto white card. I fussy cut the woman and adhered her over the stamped image. I added some floral stamping (Rubber Dance) in tone on tone Versafine inks and stamped the sentiment from Visible Image.

Conjurer of Dreams: What's Your Story?

Hello

Today I'm sharing some projects I made using Conjurer of Dreams images. I hope you'll pop over to the store and take a look at the Digital Art on sale for collage, scrapbooks, journals, cards and more.

The theme this month is What's Your Story?.

Here is what I made:

I created my images digitally in PicMonkey, then printed them out and mounted them onto a blended Distress Oxide background, heat embossed in silver with a Scripted Circled stamp from AALL & Create.

This card used images from the Magical Library and Grumpy Senior Lady Librarian.

This card used a Grumpy Senior Crafter which was a gift from Kim, the owner of CoD..

I also made a bookmark, using old book papers, inked with Distress inks and a brayered acrylic background. I used my Crop-o-dile to make a hole and died ribbon with inks to thread through.

The image here is from Fantasy Book Stack.
