* Path of Positivity: Sea View

  Hello!

Today is the midway point of the May Path of Positivity challenge.
The challenge lasts for the whole month of May.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of
Change Your Environment.

Prizes this month include:
  • TWO digital images from All Dressed Upour guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
Our optional theme this month is
Change Your Environment.
This could be going for a day out or taking a holiday,. It could be going for a bike ride or a walk. It could be changing something at home - decorating, painting, gardening. Or it could be making changes to help save our planet.
There are so many ways you can interpret the optional theme this month. We are waiting to see your take on the theme.

Please remember ...
... in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

For my project, I used Sea View from All Dressed Up.
Going to visit the seaside is a wonderful way to change your environment. I am lucky to live only 20 miles away from the seaside, so an hour's drive will take me to the west coast of England where I can walk on the beaches and paddle in the sea. I love the fresh sea air and the sound of the seagulls.
Here is my card:

I used Copics to colour the image and used a die to cut it out. It is a long time since I used patterned paper, but this paper pad had perfect sea themed papers that matched my colour scheme, so I simply cut out 2 more squares using the same die set and layered them up. I decided to add some hand made, die cut flowers and I used Distress Oxide inks to colour them. I gave each flower a pearl centre.  Next, I found this 'hello' sentiment, probably made years ago, that I had made from glued together die cuts. I added a little black ink around the edges to give it a bit of definition and to help it stand out against the patterned papers. I added a coupe of leaves and some pearl stamen to the flower cluster.

Many thanks to All Dressed Up, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

    1. Thank you so very much, Sylvie! I use Copic markers for a lot of my colouring, including this card. Sometimes, I try watercoloring, but I'm still learning that technique.
