Crafts Galore Encore: Floral Corner

Hello!

May is here and so is the new monthly challenge at Crafts Galore Encore!  We are excited to announce the arrival of 5 new DT members, so please pop over to the blog to see their wonderful projects.

This month we are kindly sponsored by Fred She Said who are offering a $10 shop voucher to the lucky winner.

I was lucky to get an image from Fred She Said to work with - it's called Doodled Floral Corners

Here is my card:

I coloured the image with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents to the flower centres. I fussy cut around the flowers, leaving a narrow white border. I prepared a background by smooshing card in Distress Oxides mixed with water. Once it was dry, I stamped some distressed hexagons, which incidentally remind me of chicken wire, in Distress Oxide ink. I inked the background's edges and matted it onto black card.
The floral corner was popped on foam to give it dimension. I die cut the word 'Hello' twice from black card and glued the two together. I placed it at the top of the panel. I also added a Copic coloured butterfly to finish off the card.

Many thanks to Fred She Said for sponsoring this challenge.

I hope you'll pop to over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs.
We'd love to see your creations.

Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
