Hello
Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.
The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects. The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 29th November.
This month's challenge is not sponsored by a company, but the winner will get a £15 Etsy Voucher to spend on whatever they like - of course we would like it to be on crafty products, but that is entirely up to the winner!
Here is my project using the adorable Forest Friends stamp set by Donna Gray, know as inkyandquirky on Instagram. The stamps are sold by Funky Fossil Designs. I love the folksy feel to these stamps.
My project started as ATCs. I made some inky backgrounds using an AALL & Create stencil with Brushos and Infusions pigments mixed together. I love the random effect this gives. Some gold splatters were flicked along with white acrylic and some black stamping was added with an AALL & Create stamp.
I stamped the Forest Friends in Versafine Nocture so that the lovely detail would not be lost, then clear embossed. I fussy cut around the image leaving a thin white border. The leaves and flowers were also created from the same set.
I added a piece of jute trim along the base of the card and trapped some gold mesh trim behind it. The focal images were popped on foam pads. I added a large gem to the centre of the flower and some tiny gems along the jute. The sentiments are Idea-ology Clipping Stickers.
We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card and you can enter up to 3 times.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I'd like to play along in these challenges:

ReplyDeleteWow, Carole, wow! Your forest friends designs are just amazing! And what an incredible job you did with the details, the schplattering, and the fussy-cutting. With that white edge, it looks as good as any die could do! Thank you very much for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteGreat stenciling and other techniques to make such beautiful backgrounds for your critters... love the color and the silhouette images of the critters and your framing... beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Crazy Critters.
ReplyDeleteI love these stamps images. I agree they are a little folksie but they are so pretty and bring a little something to the images. I also like how you did the background of your ATC's. Thanks for joining us at Intaas Happy Fall Y'all Challenge.

ReplyDeleteThis is really cool!! That background is so pretty. I love how the dies over it look like a silhouette. Beautiful details! Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your card, Carole. I need to try something like this, because I tend to create safely inside my little "comfort bubble" and rarely try new things. You've definitely inspired me. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us at The Four Seasons Challenge. We're always delighted to have you play along.
