* Artsystamper: Winter Holiday

Hello!
Happy Monday!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at the new Artsystamper Challenge Blog. Each challenge runs for two weeks and starts on the first and third Monday of the month.
The theme for this challenge is Winter Holiday.  We are celebrating Winter Holidays around the world (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa).
I hope that you can find time to join in the fun!

This time we are partnering with Double Trouble Crafting. Make a winter holiday card using patterned paper (Thing 1), include an optional twist of a ribbon or a bow (Twisted Sister 3) and enter it into our Artsystamper Winter Holiday theme challenge (Thing 2) and you have 3 chances at the Double Trouble random prize draw!

The winner of the Artsystamper challenge will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop. Beverly Cole’s selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-colored images for easy, last minute cards. Why not take a moment and check out what she has in store!

I made a couple of cards.

The first one uses Artsystamper North Pole digital stamps which I coloured with Copic markers:

I coloured the digistamps with Copics and added some white Posca paint pen highlights. I fussy cut the images and popped them on foam tape. The background is brayered Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Fired Brick. The edges are inked in black. I added a strip of glitter tape, popped the coloured images on top and added the sentiment.

For the second card, I used Artsystamper Wintery digital patterned paper and pre-coloured digital Sweet Santa stamps:

The Wintery paper was distressed along the edges and matted onto gold textured paper. A wide strip of gold glitter tape was added across the central portion of the card and the four gingerbread men were popped on foam pads and arranged as if they were holding hands. I added Crystal Stickles to their icing cuffs and Glossy Accents to their buttons. The sentiment was die cut with a banner die.

  5. Hi, Carol! You already know that I am a big fan of your work. The way you put together your "North Pole" card is just fabulous! The image is colored beautifully! I have never used a brayer to apply distress inks but your background is so striking that I must give it a try. Both cards are fabs. Thanks for another outstanding ressponse to our challenge at A Place To Start!

  6. How sweet to make a second card for us at Double Trouble...love both of your cards. 1st Card: The background you created and the elf so fantastically colored...adorable. 2nd card with the bright red patterned paper and how you popped up your cute gingerbread men in front of the glittery gold...also adorable card. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and hope that you will come and visit us again after our partnership to see what Thing 1, 2 and 3 have up their sleeve for future fun challenges.
