December brings another Anything Goes challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.
We also have a DT call, so please check out the blog post here if you are interested in joining the team; no previous experience is necessary.
Leanne at Gecko Galz kindly gave the DT some digital images and papers to work with and here are the cards I made:
My first card used digital paper and an image from a collage sheet:
For this card, I used an image from Gecko Galz's Winter Blessings collage sheet. I teamed it with paper from the Christmas In Nature ATC Set - I made the ATC card larger so that I could use it as a paper. The striped paper is from the Steampunk paper pack.
I matted my image and papers with dark red card from my stash and attached two strips of red, polka dot, satin ribbon. For embellishments I adhered some ivory lace and made a flower and foliage cluster using dies. A few metallic gold bead gems were added along with some alpha stickers.
***
My next card is a simple layered card using kraft and red card for matting:
I used Gecko Galz's Reindeer Way Jewel It (enlarged) for the image, and the Christmas In Nature ATC Set - again I enlarged the ATC to make it fit the card base, using it as paper rather than an ATC. The image and papers were matted onto red and kraft card, all edges were distressed with scissors. The sentiment (also from the Christmas In Nature ATC set) was matted and, like the Reindeer image, popped on foam for some dimension. Some dark green, chunky ric-rac ribbon was added as embellishment.
***
My third card uses a vintage digital stamp and some digital paper:
This lovely vintage Santa stamp is from the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set (which has 25 stamps in total). I coloured it with Copic markers, adding some white Posca pen highlights and die cut it with a distressed rectangle die. I inked the edges of the image die cut with Peeled Paint and Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks and matted the image onto a gold mat. I used paper from the Deadwood paper pack, distressed and inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink and matted it onto gold textured paper.
A strip of ivory lace was placed across the bottom portion of the card and the image was popped on top on foam tape. Die cut, gold snowflakes were placed just under the image mat and silver gems were placed in the centre of each snowflake.
