Hello!
Happy Monday!
December is upon us. I hope, if you celebrate in December, that your preparations are going well. I went to my first Christmas Fair this weekend and it was lovely. I came away with a couple of hand crafted Christmas gifts and two beautiful bottle lights made by the young people from The Hamlet who have additional needs.
Today is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio. We have a new digi set release today called The Wintertimes - it's a lovely little snow family!
Here is the card I made:
I coloured the Wintertimes with Copics and fussy cut them. They are popped on foam tape onto the background.
The background has Inkylicious Snowflake Flurry snowflakes heat embossed with clear EP and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink blended over. I splattered some water drops and blotted them, then repeated the blending and splattering to add depth to the sky. For the snowy land, I applied clear gesso and, while it was still wet, sprinkled it with Stampendous Frantage glitter mix. I splattered white paint into the sky using a white Posca pen. The snow family were added to the background and the edges of the background were inked with black archival ink. The sentiment is from the Holly and Mistletoes set. I cut it into strips, discarded one of the words, inked the edges with black ink and glued it directly onto the background.
I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane.
It's such a friendly, fun place to be!
