* Vera Lane Studio: Hello Pumpkin

 

Hello!

For my Vera Lane Studio DT post today I have created a Halloween card. I'm not really a big fan of Halloween, but I do like the creepy cute Vera Lane Studio characters.

I chose digi stamps from three of the Halloween sets, Hello Pumpkin, Go Batty and Full Moon.  I coloured the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them.  I made the background by blending Seedless Preserves, Carved Pumpkin and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide inks. 

I then placed the #113 Lotza Squares stencil over the background and spritzed with water to bleach out some colour. Next I stamped tone on tone with the #385 Scripted Squares stamp. I blended Black Soot around the edges and used Versafine Clair Nocturn to add #375 Reverse Squares and the script from #338 Background Noise. Black ink and white paint splatters were applied. A torn strip of polka dot washi was placed to ground the images.
