* Crafts Galore Encore: Spring Rain


Hello!

Spring is truly on its way now and I am so thankful for that! I'm not a lover of winter and can never wait for the trees to burst into life and the daffodils and crocuses to bloom. I love the sounds in the garden in the morning when the birds are out and about!

April brings another Anything Goes challenge at Crafts Galore Encore. 

The sponsor this month is Star Stampz and they are offering the winner a choice of 3 digi stamps.
Sarah, the owner, kindly gave the DT images to work with and here is my project:


I made a tent card featuring Spring Rain. I coloured the image with Copic markers and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I added some clouds to the background of the image using a Polkadoodles stencil and Peacock Feathers ink. 


I mounted the image on orange card and used a border punch to create two fancy edges. The background is design paper inked around the edges and matted onto orange card. A piece of ribbon was adhered across the card and the image popped on top on foam tape for dimension. 


I printed the sentiment using Vera Lane Studio Baby Powder Font, inked the edges and matted it onto a scalloped square cut from orange card. Two beautiful Little Birdie, mulberry flowers were added along with some white die cut foliage.

    This is adorable! I love that you chose orange as your primary color and of course your raindrop background paper is the perfect compliment.
