Hello!
Here we are and it's Monday once more!
Monday is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio. We have a fantastic new release today and it's one for the cat lovers, like myself. It's called Fat Cats - I prefer to say cuddly :) - and it has 5 different kitties: Black Eye, Daisy Eye, Lovely Cat, Skull Shirt and Spike.
Here is what I made:
I used Black Eye and Lovely Cat for my card and I think they make a perfect couple. I coloured them with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I added Glossy Accents to their eyes and noses and some glitter to Lovely Cat's collar pendant. Do you like her jewel studded collar?
The background is made from Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Fossilised Amber and Peeled Paint. I smooshed my card through puddles on a craft mat and dried with a heat gun before adding the next layer. As I dried each oxide layer I spritzed with water to get the bleached out droplet effects. When the background was dry I inked around the edges with Worn Lipstick, Black Soot and Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. I stamped some Rye Grass (stamp from Inkylicious) with Crushed Olive Distress Ink to act as a backdrop for my cats. A piece of torn washi tape grounds my cats and they are popped on foam pads. The sun is from the Sunshine collage sheet. The sentiment was generated on my computer, using the Vera Lane Studio Baby Powder font. It was printed, cut into strips, inked, then glued directly onto the background.
