* Celebrate

Hello!

Today I have a card to share.
I was delighted to win a stamp called Party On from Lost Coast Designs and here is the card I made with it.

I stamped with Versafine and coloured with Copic markers, adding a few touches of highlight with a white Posca pen. I fussy cut the image, leaving a thin white border so that she would stand out on the background.
To make the background, I firstly added modelling paste through an Aall & Create stencil called Weathered Tiles (#59) and when dry I coloured with Arteza Brush Pens and a water pen. I added some script text to the edges of the background and some torn washi tape. I popped the image on foam tape, grounding her with a strip of the black and white striped washi. I stamped some stars close to her party blower and a sentiment from a stamp set in my stash. I decided to cut up the sentiment and ink the edges in black before sticking them down. Th edges of the background were inked in black as well before adhering to the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today.
xoxo

  1. That is one sharp lady! Love that vibrant background. Did you apply the color to the paper and then pull it across with the water?

  4. I did Monica - the brush pens are really juicy and vibrant. The only problem was that the water softened the texture paste a little, so I went in with a cocktail stick to resharpen the edges. x
