Vera Lane Studio: Sunny Autumn Owl


Hello!

I'm popping by today to share a card I made with one of Vera's Owls from Vera Lane Studio.

This little owl has been sitting in my VLS digi image box for about a year and I decided to colour him and pop him on a stencilled background that I batch made.


The owl is coloured with Copic markers and has some white highlights. The background is Brushos sprinkled through my favourite stencil (#39 Lotza Dotz from AAll & Create) and spritzed with water - so quick and easy with amazing results! (Thanks to Tracy Evans for sharing this technique.)  I inked around the edges of the background with Spiced Pumpkin DO to frame the image and inked the very edge in black.
I stuck a red skeleton leaf and a piece of hessian trim onto the card to ground the owl which I popped up on foam pads. The sentiment is from a different VLS set.
