Hello!
- FOUR images from Ike's Art, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
- ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
- One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
I used Greek Window from Ike's Art to make my card. The book I was inspired by is Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals'. I first read this at school in English Literature and I was hooked - not only was I reading a good story, but I was learning about sunny Corfu and its wildlife as well as the escapades of the dysfunctional Durrell household. In no time at all I had devoured the following two that make up the Corfu Trilogy books, "Birds, Beasts and Relatives' and 'The Garden of the Gods'. Now I am, of course, a huge fan of the TV series, The Durrells.
My window scene is coloured with Copic markers and die cut. I matted it onto dark teal card as i couldn't find any card the kind of turquoise that you see painted on Greek doors and windows. I embossed some card with a Tim Holtz 3D embossing folder and coloured it to resemble stone. I added a stamped sentiment.
Wonderful colouring. A stunning card and I love the background paper you put with this image :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for using my images. It is a pleasure to Sponsor you.
