* Vera Lane Studio: Aquarius Tag


 Hello

Happy New Year.

May your year be filled with peace and happiness.

It is my DT day at Vera Lane Studio and I have a tag to share with today's new digi set release, Aquarius.

Janet Klein, as you may know, designs stamp sets (as well as stencils, and washi tapes) for AALL & Create.  Recently she released a set of Zodiac Sign stamps with AALL & Create and she is now releasing slightly different ones as digi stamp sets over at Vera Lane Studio.

Aquarius is the first digi set and I made a dimensional tag:

I used Brushos, sprinkled onto a craft mat, spritzed with water and dipped the tag in repeatedly for the background. Some white embossing and stamping was added along with paint rings and splatters. I die cut some leaves and dipped them into the Brush pigments, then adhered them to the base of the tag.

Little Aquarius was coloured with Copic markers and fussy cut. I popped some foam tape on the back and attached her atop of the 'sea weeds'. I realise that Aquarius is one of the Air Signs and is the Water Bearer, but as she was embodied in a mermaid in this set, I gave her a watery background.

The symbols were adhered straight onto the background and the Aquarius sign was popped on foam. Some glittery twine was threaded through the tag top.
