Hello!
June is here and at Gecko Galz we have a new challenge. The theme for this month is Good Old Summertime and there are many beautiful papers and images to play with. I made two cards.
The first one is in beautiful sea green and turquoise tones matched with Vintage Photo Ink and kraft card. I love the summery feeling this gives me.

The first one is in beautiful sea green and turquoise tones matched with Vintage Photo Ink and kraft card. I love the summery feeling this gives me.
I used papers from the Country Charm and Gypsy Market paper packs. I distress the edges of the papers and inked with Vintage Photo. The Papers are matted onto a piece of kraft card which was also distressed and inked. The image is one of my favourites from the By The Shore collage set. I added some twine trim and some hessian flowers along with a string bow and the fun sentiment from Charming Words.

Isn't this just the sweetest little girl; and what could be more summery than ice cream treats!
The paper I chose is from a pack called Paradise Island - I cut it to size and inked around the edges with black ink. The pretty little girl is from a new collage sheet called Summer Fun which features gorgeous black and white vintage images. I found some silver sequinned net fabric in my stash and cut a rectangle to place beneath the photo to act as a mat. The netting and image were adhered on foam tape to add some dimension. I placed a strip of white lacy daisies down the left side of the image and added a grey pearl to the centre of each flower. I searched for a suitable sentiment and found this one, which I think is perfect, from the Simply Sentimental stamp set. I used a die to cut it and adhered it to the bottom right of the photo. I finished by matting the background onto white, then red card to echo the colours in the patterned paper.
