* Vera Lane Studio: Here Comes The Sun


Hello!

Today it's my Vera Lane Studio DT day.
This is my second VLS DT post today - you can find my first one here.

This month Janet is hosting the ATC swap and she's chosen the theme of The Beatles. I've really enjoyed making my ATCs inspired by the lyrics in some of The Beatles' songs!

Here is my second Beatles ATC:

I chose 'Sunny' for this ATC. She isn't in the shop at the moment, but is available on request from Janet (in the FaceBook group or on the Etsy shop page). The thumbnail of the set is shown below.
I coloured her with my usual Copic markers, adding some Diamond Stickles to her eye flower and some Glossy Accents to her eyes. The sun is from the same digi set. The images are fussy cut and Sunny is grounded on a strip of glitter washi tape.
The background is a piece of gelli print using acrylic paints through a stencil. The areas where the stencil was placed was coloured over with Distress Oxide in Fossilised Amber. Some text was stamped onto the background and some white paint splatters applied. The edges of the ATC are inked with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. The lyrics, which I cut into separate words, are from the George and Ringo digi set.
