Gecko Galz: Gypsy Fortunes

Hello!

Happy October!

Are you ready for the Gecko Galz Annual Blog Hop?
It's at the end of this month from the 24th to 27th October and there will be collage sheet give aways on each blog and also fabulous prizes for those who complete the full blog hop.
We'd love you to take part in this fun event!

A new month brings a new challenge at the Gecko Galz blog and this month the theme is Gypsy Fortunes

I made two projects and had a tremendous amount of fun with the first one:

Gypsy Booth Shrine

I wanted to make a gypsy fortune teller's booth on wheels and this is what I created.

It is made from card and has corrugated card behind to make it sturdier and more secure. The paper on the front is actually an enlarged ATC from the Sentimental Celluloid set. I die cut the bottom and top with two different shaped dies and popped the lovely gypsy girl from Gypsy Beauties behind a frame from the Fab Frames collage set, which acts as her window. She has a zodiac sign to the background of her from the Fortune Has It collage sheet. The window frame was popped on foam tape to add dimension.

Cocktail sticks with 'rose' beads glued on top hold up her Mystical Prognostications sign (from Good Fortunes) and I placed some gold, heat embossed, chipboard stars behind the signage with some folded ribbon to emulate shooting stars.  The 'Your Fortune' sign was cut out from an image on the Good Fortune collage sheets and popped up. I added some gold sequin stars and some ribbon leaves along with paper red roses and a wooden butterfly. I dismantled some old earrings and threaded the 'charms' onto a piece of twine to place above her window.
Her wheels are chipboard circles with a button attached to the front and finished off with a flat backed pearl.

My second project is a card:

Isn't this image beautiful!  I love everything about it: the beautiful young woman, the scenery and, of course, the colour palette!
The image is from the Gypsy Beauties collage set, and there are 17 lovely gypsy girl images in total on these sheets. I matted the image onto gold textured paper and popped that on top of Music background paper from the Words and Music paper pack. I heat embossed two pieces of die cut chipboard with bronze glitter powder and placed them alongside the image. The music paper was edged with gold trim and popped on foam tape onto black paper.
I made some die cut flowers out of Distress Oxide inked card and added pearls to the centres. I die cut some foliage from kraft card and made a cluster to the middle of the left side of the image, adding some natural dried flowers and some looped twine.
To finish, I added a kraft tag saying 'Just For You".

I hope you'll join our Gypsy Fortunes Challenge where the Winner will get a
