Heart's Quest Fantasy: Baby Griffin

Hello

I am delighted to have been invited to guest design for the

Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge Blog.

The Heart's West Fantasy Challenge is an open fantasy, mythical or mythical creatures themed challenge blog..

This month the theme is AG Fantasy (see blog for what counts), with the option of Griffins.

Now I searched and searched, but didn't have any images of Griffins, so I decided to let AI create one for me using Bing Image Creator. I didn't like a lot of them, but the two that I did like, I've added below. Please feel free to download them if you wish.

Here is my card featuring a baby griffin in fantasy colours:

I decided to make a shaker card, so I die cut the printed image and with the same set of dies I made 6 frames out of thick,  teal card. I glued the frames together and placed on top of the image with sequins. I die cut a frame from patterned paper and adhered acetate to the back. This was then glued onto the top of the frame to seal the shaker element. The background paper is from an old paper pack and is glittered.
I added a band of patterned paper matted onto teal card with the hand stamped sentiment 'Happy Birthday'.

Conjurer of Dreams: Witch Wisdom

 Hello

Today I'm sharing some projects I made using Conjurer of Dreams images. I hope you'll pop over to the store and take a look at the Digital Art on sale for collage, scrapbooks, journals, cards and more.

We have a new, open, worldwide challenge at the Conjurer of Dreams Blog.
The challenge theme is always 'Anything Goes', and this month's optional theme is
'Witch Wisdom'.
We hope you'll share your projects with us.

We also have a friendly Facebook Group where we would love for you to share your Conjurer of Dream projects.

Here are my DT makes:

A mini book
with words from The Enchanted Forest;

Here are close ups of the individual book parts:

The front has a circular aperture showing the first page along with the title. The book ties with a distress oxide-dyed, crinkle ribbon.
The pages are finger painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk paints.
The back is left plain:

The first page features a Twilight Moon background and a Blackberry Witch.
All the images in the mini book are from these 2 sets.

*
The forest, moon and blackberries held by the witch are sparkly - Stickles glitter was applied.

The images were die cut to give a slightly distressed appearance and they were inked in black around the edges.

The book is bound with painted strips of paper attached to two pages, then the pages are glued back to back.

The poem was typed and printed. It was cut into strips and attached to each page.

I'd like to enter these challenges:
Allsorts Challenge #800 AG 04/10
Pennys Challenges. #581 AG 08/10
I Spy With My Little Eye Something Magical 13/10

A treat box/bag:

For the front and back of the treat bag, I used 2 die cut dex card and cut off the disc binder part. They were then covered with background paper and decoupaged with images.

The background papers are from the Potion Notes.

I cut a second potion Notes and fussy cut the bottles and added them on foam for dimension. The lovely witch is from the set called Autumn Witch. She's also popped on foam with some dyed cheesecloth behind her.

The back of the bag is plain - just the Portion Note paper edged with Vintage Photo ink.
It's perfect for Halloween treats like these yummy chocolate eyeballs!

The sides, bottom and top of the bag are created from a single strip of black card, which was glued in place and cut to form a tuck down lid. The card was covered with distress oxide smooshed card to match the colour of the Potion Notes background.
I used my crop-a-dile to add eyelets to the sides and I made a twisted wire handle which was threaded through the eyelet holes.

I'd like to enter these challenges:

Double D Challenges To Spook or Not 13/10
The Four Seasons Challenge Oct AG Fall 24/10
Unicorn Challenge Halloween 28/10

The Outlawz Challenges (Tuesday Colour) AG using selected colours 04/11
I used yellow, orange and black

Notecards:

The witch Characters are .png clip art files, so I digitally added them to the armoire backgrounds then printed them out.
I added stamping, in the form of spiders' webs and spiders on threads., and heat embossed them.

They were added to black die cut mats (Lawn Fawn) which have silver embossed webs stamped upon them. Then they were matted onto purple card and placed on a blank white greeting card.

The sentiments were taped, printed and adhered.

Halloween Diorama

I had fun making this diorama from paper cut outs and dies.

The houses are not from Conjurer of Dreams, but the
Witch Characters are and the cauldron and potion bottles are from Witch Quotes and Elements.
Here is the diorama from a different angle - the witch next door is saying hello and giving you a wave!

I'd like to enter these challenges:

If you Give a Crafter a Cookie #197 Boo! Eek! 31/10

Crafts Galore Encore: Halloween Spirit

  Hello

Today sees that start of a new challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

The theme is always 'Anything Goes' and you can enter up to 3 different projects.  The challenge runs all month until mid day (GMT) 30th October.

This month's challenge is kindly sponsored by The Paper Shelter.

Here is what I made:

The Paper Shelter kindly allowed the DT to use one of their image sets. I used the pre-coloured Halloween Spirit and fussy cut her. I placed her on a die cut, circular background which had been coloured by blending distress oxides. A fancy edged circle was die cut from black card to frame the image.
The background was ink blended with oxides and corner stamping was added. I also added a small web and spider and inked around the edges in black to darken them.

That's all for now.

Many thanks to the Paper Shelter.for their generous prize of 3 digi stamps for our random winner.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs and to enter our challenge.

We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card and you can enter up to 3 times.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Here is what I made as inspiration for the Customer Challenge..

This is my slider booklet.
I used images from Victorian Gothic Ladies.

The front of the book:

The front and back of there book were strengthened with extra matting using black card. I heat embossed the edges of the card, the spine of the book and the mats with Black Glint embossing powder - it is black with a shimmer and gives the edges and the spine resistance to wear and tear. The booklet fastens with black and white ribbon.
The back of the booklet has a Glossy Accent coated spider.

Here is the book opened up:

The left side is the cover plate and the right side shows the top of the slider element.
I used die cut lace borders and heat embossed spider's webs on the red card. The edges of each image are embossed with Black Glint EP.
A red tag was placed under the image mat for pulling out the slider.
*
Here is the slider partly extended:

There are 5 pages joined together with the slider mechanisms.

The last two slider pages;
