Christmas Easel Box for Unstampabelles

Hello friends and followers!

A warm welcome to Georgiania Carson, my newest follower!

I'm honoured to be Guest Designer at Unstampabelles Challenges this month.

As the name suggests all projects must be created without any stamps or digis

The theme for the November challenge is ... Resistance.

You can interpret the theme any way you like.

Normally for this theme, I would stamp an image and use embossing powder as a resistance and ink over it, but as I couldn't use stamps, today I decided to be different, think 'outside the box' and make an Easel Box. The resistance element for this is the stopper sentiment on top of the box - it keeps the easel open by resisting the effect of gravity!

The box was relatively easy to create following the step-by-step photographic instructions from the lovely Beccy, over at Beccy's Place which you can find here

Here is what I made:

I went with a Christmas theme, as we are getting close to December.
My easel box was made using just one 12 x12 inch piece of white card, one piece of A4 holly card and one piece of A4 green shimmer paper.
Beccy has done all the hard work, so I followed her instructions in order to construct the box and easel.

For the topper, I die cut a doily out of a piece of cream shimmer card. The flowers are made from white card, die cut with a Heartfelt Creations Majestic Blooms die. The die cuts were inked in a coral red and shaped using a stylus and foam pad. They were assembled and a yellow gem was placed in the centre of each flower. The leaves, die cut from green shimmer card with a Spellbinders set, were arranged around the flowers along with natural dried flowers from Anna Marie Designs.  Glue was applied with a Quikie glue pen and Crystal Snow from Inkilicious was added as a finishing touch.
The topper was adhered to the easel front on foam pads.

The sentiment is from a Papermania pack.

The inside of the easel has a holly banner and a Spellbinders Label Twenty die attached on foam pads to raise it up, so that it will act as a stopper (or resistance!!) for the Easel.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
