Heart of Roses: If You Give A Crafter A Cookie

Hello!

A big welcome to Wynn Walton, my latest follower. I'm thrilled that you could join me!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.
This challenge is open until 30th November.

Our sponsor is the beautiful Lemon Shortbread.

And here is the yummy cookie photo to spark our imagination for this challenge:

My first thought was along the lines of Lisa Frank, but in the end I went with one of the cookie shapes and one of the colours as my inspiration for this challenge.
Here is my project:

I used Lemon Shortbread's Heart of Roses digital stamp. I coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers, went around the outlines of the image in pale grey and added some dots of iridescent glitter to the heart background. I then fussy cut the image, leaving a thin white border. The white scalloped card is from the 'dinkies' range at Little Claire Designs. I used a Trim Craft pink glitter card as my background and matted it on to kraft card. The image was adhered on foam pads. A thin raspberry coloured ribbon and bow was attached before sticking the layers on to the card base. Tiny ivory pearls were added to finish it off.

That's all from me for today. Now it's over to you...

Please pop over to the
If You Give A Crafter A Cookie
challenge blog to check out the lovely designs by the rest of the DT.

We would love for you to share your projects in the challenge!

You could win digi stamps or become one of our 'Top Cookies'!

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
