* Vera Lane Studio: Elodie and Amilie

Hello!

There's a new line of digis available from the Vera Lane Studio Etsy shop. They are called Filled de la Mode and there are two sets available right now, Elodie and Amilie.

What is different about these sets? Well, there's a black and white digi for you to colour as you wish, but there's also 5 partially coloured digis (the dresses) in each set, making crafting so quick and easy. And, of course, there's a sentiment. 

I chose to work with the partially coloured digis and here are my cards:

I simply took colours from the dress palette to co-ordinate my girls. I decided to go for a clean and simple look and let the beautiful girls speak for themselves. I chose some embossed white paper as the background and added pieces of washi tape to ground them. I added a coloured mat and a sentiment and, voila, my project was done!

Next is Amilie: 

Amilie has been printed out normally and also in reverse for this card. Again I coloured her hair, flowers and legs in colours to co-ordinate with her dress. The sentiment this time is  cropped from The Tulips digi set.

* Vera Lane Studio: Fleur Fairy ATCoins

Hello!

Have you heard about ATCoins? Artist Trading Coins are circles, 2.5 inches in diameter, used as a canvas for small works of art and they are so much fun to create!

At Vera Lane Studio we are hosting our first ATCoin swap and the theme is True Colours.  Here is what I made:

I have quite a few circular dies - scalloped edged ones, stitched ones and plain ones; I even have a circular tag die, which if you jiggle around and die cut twice, gives a circle, but none of them measure 2.5 inches! No worries - I cut my card with the tag die  - it measured 2.3 inches, so I hand cut a 2.5 inch circle from black card. As you can see, I'm not good at cutting straight circles, if you get what I mean! :)

Anyhow, the background circle is a gelli print with Glimmer Mist. My images are from the lovely Fleur Fairies digi set and they are coloured with Copics. The sentiments are Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.



This little fairy has glossy accent eyes, whilst the one below has glitter eyelids and wings.

* Vera Lane Studio: The Little Sailor

Hello!

For today's Vera Lane Studio project, I chose to use The Little Sailor.

I love this quirky, little sailor girl! I coloured the images with Copics and Derwent Inktense pencils, adding some white Posca pen highlights. They are on a background of acrylic paints which has some stencilling and white splatters.

* Vera Lane Studio: Smitten

Hello!

Here is another ATC I made for the June TV swap at Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group.

This time  I was inspired by The Muppets, and in particular by Miss Piggy and her love for Kermit.

I used digis from two VLS sets, Bacon Bits and Kiss the Frog. The images are coloured with Copics and are popped onto a blended ink background. I added some heart stickers and a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker that says "smitten". I finished the ATC with a hand drawn border.

* Vera Lane Studio: Just Dance

Hello!

At the Vera Lane Studio Facebook group we have a monthly ATC swap and the theme for June is TV.

Here is an ATC I made using the Just Dance digi set:

I was inspired by the Strictly Come Dancing TV show, and its non-celebrity predecessor, Come Dancing, which was one of TV's longest running shows from 1950 to 1998.

My dancer, Balance, is coloured with Copic markers and is popped on a gelli print background with some bling trim and sequins in keeping with the ballroom dress code!
