Gecko Galz: October Delights

Today is my DT day for Gecko Galz, so I'd like to share the projects I made.

First up is my Acorn Fairy card:

The beautiful image is from the Flower Fairies collage sheet. I matted him onto kraft card, distressing and inking the edges. The background paper I chose is from one of my favourite paper packs - it's called Autumn Colours mini paper pack, and I matted this onto kraft card, distressing and inking with Vintage Photo. I added a strip of gold metallic trim along the left hand side of the background.

I added Glossy Accents to the acorns to add a little dimension and to make them shine. I die cut some leaves and flowers from cream and kraft card. I used Distress Oxides to tint some of the flowers and leaves and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist. I tucked some pearl stamen behind the flowers and gave the flowers a flat back pearl centre.

My second project is an autumnal easel card featuring a squirrel:

The squirrel image is from the Harvest Time collage set and I teamed it with paper from the Autumn Colours paper. I matted the image and the paper onto gold card and distressed the edges with scissors. I added a strip of black lacy trim across the centre of the card and placed the image on top. I then adhered the cluster of gems in beautiful autumnal colours.  

I like easel cards as they look a bit special, but are extremely easy to make.

On the inside I have a strip of background paper matted with the same gold card, both are distressed. I heat embossed a greeting in gold onto a scrap of black card and adhered it to the centre. A tiny gold sticker was added to the corner. This acts as a stopper for the easel.

My final project is a set of ATCs.
