* Vera Lane Studio: Ticket to Ride

Hello!

Another Monday and it's my Vera Lane Studio DT day.

This month Janet is hosting the ATC swap and she's chosen the theme of The Beatles. I've really enjoyed making my ATCs inspired by the lyrics in some of The Beatles' songs!

Here is the first one:

The building is an image from a relatively new set called Amsterdam and the bicycle girl, Rosie, is from a set called Enjoy the Ride. I coloured them with Copic markers and added some white highlights, some Stickles and Glossy Accents to the windows of the building and the Rosie's eyes. I fussy cut the images - I have to say that Rosie bike rider was quite tricky to fussy cut, but I took my time and managed to cut it all apart from the wheels, so once it was glued onto the background I added colour with markers to match the background.
The background is Distress Oxide with a little glitter, white paint splatters and edges inked with Faded Jeans. I added some washi to ground the building and a couple of strips to the top left side. The lyrics were printed out using the Vera Lane Studio Baby Powder font, they were cut into words, inked and glued onto the background. I finished off with a hand doodled border.

I hope you'll come along and play on Vera Lane.
It's such a friendly, fun place to be!

Thanks for stopping by today.

  7. This is a great card and is apt for the wording.
I work in a nursery school and we sing 'Yellow Submarine' with our little ones, they all join in with the chorus.
