Crafts Galore Encore: Christmas Gnomes

Hello!

November brings another Anything Goes challenge at Crafts Galore Encore.

Who stole this year? It's hard to believe that we are just two months off the year end.

The sponsor this month is the very generous Gecko Galz who are offering a $25 store voucher to the winner.

Leanne from Gecko Galz kindly gave the DT some digital stamps and collage sheets to work with. I chose to work with Gnome for The Holidays Collage Sheet and here is the card I made:

Collage Sheets are so reasonably priced and have quite a few images. This set that I used contains 2 sheets of images with a total of  17 images. - all those for under $2.  I have to say that all of the images are really fun and suitable for making holiday cards. You can either print the sheets out as they come, or if you like a particular image and want to make it a specific size, you can do that too. Sometimes we need to isolate an image so that we can die cut it - we need to have white space around it. I do this the easy way, simply by taking a screen shot of the image and dragging the screenshot into a presentation or word program. From there you can adjust the size and print it off. Just one word of warning here though, if you overstretch an image it could blur the details - in this case you would need to use an image manipulation program such as Photoshop or Gimp. Give the easy way a try, though - I have great success doing it the easy way.

My card was quick and easy to make. I resized the image so that it would fit into the die that I had already cut. I glued the image inside the die and added some specks of 'Quicky Pen' glue and some iridescent glitter to mimic the snowflakes. I cut a piece of red polka dot card, matted it onto black card and adhered all in place onto a white card base. I simply added a knotted polka dot ribbon bow to the top of the frame.
Isn't the vintage image of the skating gnomes enchanting!

Many thanks to Leanne at Gecko Galz for generously sponsoring and supporting this challenge. We hope you'll pop over to the Etsy shop to see the many lovely products on sale. The Gecko Galz blog is a good source of inspiration too.

Please pop over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DTs wonderful designs.

We'd love to see your creations.
Remember the challenge is always 'Anything Goes' and so you can create any type of project - it doesn't have to be a card and you can enter up to 3 times.

Thanks for stopping by today!
xoxo
