Path of Positivity: Noelle

 Hello!

Happy Monday!
I hope you are staying safe and well.

Today is the start of a new Path of Positivity challenge.

This month the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Rejoice.

Prizes this month include:
  • $10 Gift Certificate from Limited Runs our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
  • ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Our optional theme this month is Rejoice
For many, this time of year is an occasion for happiness. While the pandemic makes this year harder to get together with those you may normally spend time with during the holiday season, there are still many reasons we have to rejoice. Thus, we want you to create a project that reflects the JOY of the holiday season

Please remember in order to be eligible for the prizes your project must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way.

I chose to use a beautiful stamp from Limited Runs called Noelle. She can be found in the Seasonal - Christmas section on this page.

My family is fairly small and I am not one for huge parties or celebrations any way, so this Christmas I will be very happy to spend some quality time with my immediate family. My Christmas card, featuring Noelle in the snow is reflecting my joy at being happy and healthy, having all that I need in life and enjoying the quiet calm of nature on winter days.

I coloured Noelle with Copic markers and fussy cut her leaving a thin, white border. I teamed this beautiful image with trees, die cut from card that I coloured by smooshing the new Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks onto card, dabbing, drying and smooshing several times to get a good depth of colour.
The sky is stamped with a stencil using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide. The ground is texture paste with Crystal Snow applied on top whilst it was still wet. The trees and Noelle are popped on foam tape for dimension. I splattered white paint and added some flecks of crystal snow to give the impression of falling snow. The sentiment is die cut.

Many thanks to Limited Runs, this month's guest sponsor,

and to Scribbles Designs as the ongoing sponsor of the challenge

We would love to see your creations!
Just make sure that your entry is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some way!

  4. A beautiful card. I really like how you have created the background scene with the trees, then the girl as the main focal image of the card
